Well, the day has come that i have it to with this country! So, me and my mate are going to Australia for a year......possibly more! My problem is.......What do I do with my zed? Ive just put a fair bit of money into her (£14k in the past 10 months) and dont really want to sell her, but realistically, once i've been out there for a year, i cant see myself coming back! Do i put her into storage for a year and come back in a years time and deal with her? Do I sell her now and get another one when i get out there? Or just bite the bullet and get her transported out there (and back again if i dont like it!) Help Guys!!!!!!

Took the Z to have it's mot last month and whilst it was there i booked it in for a service. It needed; New pads all round-so i asked for EBC Redstuff. Off-side rear wheel bearing. All fluids changed. I booked it in for first thing this morning-8am. The Mechanic told me at the time he'd get all the parts in for me and it would be ready to rock before mid-day. 11.15 i get a phone call to say they hadn't started yet, they didn't have any redstuff only yellow, they couldn't get hold of a wheel bearing at short notice and i'd have to bring it back tomorrow for that to be done. I'm still waiting for the phonecall to tell me it's done.

I have been suffering of late with sqeaking brakes!! The car wasn't used most of last year due to engine problems. I used for a month when i got it back and squeak n squalk went the brakes. I have changed the pads, fluid and extended and retracted all pistons to full, repeating a few times making sure there were no siezed pistons. Anyway 2 months later and its back aaaaaarrrrrrrrrr:cry: Is there a service kit anyone can recommend before i rip them apart or any tips as i know what the zed is like for its curious design lol Cheers

Ok I've read the technical articles on auto tranny oil changing, but now I am ready to do the dead, SWB TT front wheels up on ramps and to my horror no drain plug. Surely if I begin to remove sump bolts I am going to get showered! Is it not feasible to disconn:bow:ect a pipe and direct into a container whilst engine is running? or am I tempting fate?

mine had come off....and consequently soaking the passenger footwell when washing the car / raining etc (can be mistaken for leaking matrix)....saw a post on how to reconnect the tube it looked a flipping long job...glove box off etc etc so came up with another quicker way :D get some washer jet tube @ 5-6mm in diameter, a couple of meters length should be plenty pop off the side indicator you'll see a black hose poking downwards into the wing this is the outlet pipe which the targa drain connects to...get some long nose pliers and gently pull it out poke the new washer tube through the black hose and into the hole it was covering....keep feeding it through…

http://www.240edge.com/performance/top-speed-calc.html Is this actually accurate? I put in the following for a stock TT. revs max 7000 tyre width 225 profile 60 rim 16 final transmision gear 0.752 diff ratio 3.69 And when calculated i got 200mph. So i then tweaked for the spec of my Zed and wet my pants, sexy wee.... Top Speed = 224mph

In the middle of my Battery relocation at the moment, but I want to keep some sort of point in the engine bay that can be used for Jump starting. Some sort of Terminal block that I can mount in engine that will connect the 2AWG cable from starter motor to my Battery location in the boot. Would need to be shielded/sealed (so it does'nt come in contact with anything that might earth it out and blow my electrics up) but that can be accessed for jump leads. Ebay did'nt find anything when I typed my description in  Any ideas what it would be called or where I can get it from ?

Hi guys, I lied! This should deffo be my last post today - my brain is fried now anyway! Pulled the CAS off and tested for injector clicks, they appear to be simultaneous across all injectors, I should have counted, I guess there must be six clicks per one rotation of the CAS (logical). I thought these were supposed to be sequential rather than simultaneous!? Where's the sense in firing all injectors at every cylinder's compression stroke!?!!? How many cam rotations are there per crank rotation (2:1?)? Cheers RobH

The smoke on overrun and tickover is now at silly levels so I started striping the car ready for engine removal, (its fitted into an s13), started with a compression test, 2 cylinders at 145, 4 at 150+. There are no signs of any contamination with oil on the inlets, so hopefully its just worn oil seals on the exhaust housing end. Going to rebuild both using diy kits, should be interesting, will add some pics as I go.
