Right then people i have around 1month before the start of my final year at University! I am studying Computer Games Design (alot of 3d Work) So i decided to get started and i started a 300zx around 2weeks ago! Working 45hrs over 6days doesnt leave me masses of time but here is what i have for you! I just hope i can somehow implement it into my final year work without it looking pointless!! I know its not fantastic at the moment but its just for me to get a headstart on my work this year!Any other 3d moddellers give me a shout if you like! I am using 3ds Max 7 for this too! Do you have to remove the two alloy water pipes at the front of the engine to fit the left hand cam cover ?

Having located a broken plug on my det sensor(its been bypassed), After trawling ebay and the traders, needed to fix it asap. Off down the local scrap yard, and hey presto, found a P reg Micra, the rad fan plug is identical to what i need, so after a few snips with pliers, i borrowed a few more around the engine bay to keep as spares, ive got various plugs and connectors that suit the zed ones all off a micra, plus the odd relay, Then the icing on the cake, on my UK zed the front Nissan badge was shabby and chrome plastic, but the one on the Micra is solid metal and like brand new. Plus the rad cap was worth taking too. After my findings, took to the shop and…

has anyone fitted a double din unit in their zed? If so how hard was it to fit as im thinking of doing it in mine when i get it back

Following on from this thread: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=107704 I thought I'd better get my ass into gear and get some caliper relocating brackets made up. So I did a few measurements, calculations and got to work. A rough block on the left (needs finishing touches), fresh block on the right. Milling one side....... Then the other...... After a few hours work I have these :D Notice the hole drilled to relieve a bit of weight? ;) Stage 3 will be next week, mounting the discs and giving the calipers a lick of paint :) Can't wait :hyper:

Hi all. Right I've finally got the car working again after the rebuild. I had an electrical problem for ages that turned out to be a shorted wire in the fuel pump carrier. And whilst diagnosing this (i.e. lots of blown fuses, etc), I appear to have developed a further problem. I don't know if this was something else giving up the ghost due to electrical shinanigans going on, or something wholely unrelated. I can start the car fine. However, I can now turn the ignition off, remove the key and the engine still carries on running with no key in it! I have to stop it by pulling the ignition coil relay out. Any ideas?

After alot of work my new front is done! I've fitted my original Strosek front bumper and headlight panel. I've also fitted my chromed headlights, which i think make a big improvement! And to finish my new three quarter size number plate :D All in all i'm really happy with how it has turned out!
