Hi all, Im really at my wits end!! My front brakes started to stick on a few months ago. So i did a fluid change etc, changed pads. Then ok for a few weeks and happend again. I stripped one of the calipers and found aluminium diposits in the cylinders and slight grooves. So i got another set of calipers. Put them on today. Bled them again and now they are stuck solid. Infact worse. Any ideas. Am i missing something here?? :( Its driving me mad FFS. Anyone else had this??

Just doesn't seem to end for me :( Went over my car again today and noticed they've run the D.A machine over the bottom of my rear screen and left swirl marks in it. Anyone know if they can be polished out of glass? Cheers Vijay

  7. Hi All, sometime back I asked about a miss fire I had under boost. Last night I finally fixed it. And as I said I would report back when I fixed it, here it is. As the engine twists slightly under hard acceleration the connectors onto 1 or 2 of the coilpacks were being slightly pulled apart from the coilpacks. I knew my clips were duff, but as they seemed to sit nicely I thought they would be OK. And everytime I checked they were sat properly onto the coils. Wrong. I have made some ropey looking brackets that use one of the bolts from the coils to secure them, these clips hold the connectors onto the coils. Result, my car has never run better. I can no…

How much cash has people spent on their z's including purchase of vehicle, parts, mods and labour? I was adding everything up the other day, I got quite worried as I havn't had the car a year yet, it comes in a shade over 11k. It keeps going through my head that the money spent on the car could have been a deposit on a house, but then I think *****cks, we only live once, and we work god dam hard, so why not work and enjoy the benifits of our money being earned. Vehicle purchase £6000 New forged engine £2750 intercoolers £200 egr bypass and water plennum bypass £250 Wiring loom £200 Labour £1500 Gauges £50 pcv's £80 Probably forgotten someth…

I am looking for some advice, I have used the Auto Transmission Diagnostic procedure obtained from the forum as I was experiencing problem on my 96 300ZX (Non-turbo), basically, whilst travelling on the motorway at a steady speed, the revs would rise from about 3000 to 4000 and then drop back down. The diagnostic check has identified it as Error Code #6, an electrical fault with the overrun clutch solenoid circuit... can anyone offer me any advice on how to proceed with this, i.e. it's location. how to fix it etc. Thanks.

Anyone know how on earth Im gonna get to it?? Also what size it? I presume I can replace it with silicone hose?

Hi folks, long time no see  Last night, when I was reversing up my driveway, the engine cut out. It stopped at the exact moment when the rear wheels made contact with the kerb. I suspect that maybe some sort of electrical connection has become dislodged. When I turn the key, the starter motor goes, but the engine just won't fire up. Anyone got any ideas? I've checked the connections for the CAS and PTU, but they seem fine. Thanks, Dave

I an now going to take all fuel out of car because of engine out job. on fist illistration it says as follows. 1. Remove the driver's kickpanel, 2 screws are in the side of the panel, 2 are in the firewall, the last one is under the carpet by the dead pedal (5 x phillips). Remove the first two screws of the door jamb's plastic trim (2 x phillips). The kickpanel interlocks with the front edge of the door jamb trim. Disconnect the fuel pump relay (bright green in my '95) in the driver's kickpanel (1.). 2. Unscrew the gas cap to remove any residual tank pressure. Start the engine & let it run until it stalls, crank it over a few more times to relieve all the f…
