Hi I'd love some advice being very green when it comes to any working knowledge of the large lump under the bonnet. For sometime(couple of years) I've had a problem with bolts loosening up on the manifolds but I'm told by my previous garage these were too inaccessible to tighten right up but equally due to the inaccessibility they would not work completely out. Well now the exhaust is realy blowing and really affecting acceleration at quite low speeds (60-80). My new garage say bolts appear to be loose on the turbos too now and because these and the manfolds bolts are impossible to get ut they need to drop the engine to have a good look. Does that sound r…

Can anyone tell me what the paint code will be for my 93 UK black Zed (without me having to go out in the wet and look!), and also where I would be able to get a touch up kit?

Firstly, huge thanks to Mark Topless for arranging the meet at Virginia Water And 2nd, Cheers to all the members who showed up at the meet. Good to see some of the newer folks too and nice to put a face to names. Out of a possible 22 names from the 'i will be there' i think we got 19, Even though the weather wasnt that good, we all made an effort. South Central and South east, we know how to have a good meet and get a bonus of watching a Merc burn. Felt really sorry for the owner while all of us watched, and Bullit and i just kept taking pics................. Plus my my daughter (Holly) got a souvenir........U know what i mean. Cheers Stu

Hey all My car had the plenum removed and painted by the garage. When they put it on the Dyno it blew out a gasket. When I asked them if they had put new gaskets in when they put the plenum back on they said that the gaskets looked ok to them and so they just put some silicone on them and put it back together. My Question is if they try and charge me to pull the plenum again and put ion new gaskets should I pay? Or should I tell them it was their own fault for cutting corners? Bloody Monkeys! :slap:

My nearly 20 year old 300zx which has spent most of its time laid up on my drive for the past 3 years has just had its mot and passed with flying colours with not a single advise!!:hyper: This zed has passed first time on every MOT since I bought it nearly 5 years ago:cool: It has avoided the dreaded tin rot with not a single piece of welding yet:smash: Mot inspector congratulated me on how superb the underbody condition was. My car was imported in 1996 and I was surprised it had not a single advise. I at least thought the handbrake and brakes may have advised or failed as they have been stood since march? I only drove it 13 miles and they seemed quite …

Was in me Z yesterday quite wet down here in the south. I manged to loose grip and the back end of the car kicked out but nothing to serious and held the car and stopped her from skidding and drove on. Now ever since then and may be coincidence the idle when the car started is 1500 to 2000rpm in park and when taken on a 40 min journey and then again placed in park the rpm shots up to 2000rpm. I stopped at a petrol station also and filled up this morning and a orange light flicker very quickly on the right side of the dash dont remember seeing this before when starting again maybe getting paranoid. The car otherwise in drive and reverse is at the normal 10…

Hi Guys, I am looking to renew every single bush on my car in the near future along with new shocks and springs. There is nothing obviously wrong with my car at the minute, but I'm on a mission to make it as close to perfect as possible. I'm assuming the suspension will be mostly 15 years old now so its time to tighten it all up! Can someone list all the kits I'll need to renew the entire lot, confused about the front upper control arm bushings (don't seem to be available) and also if I get new standards shocks do they come with new bushes? My car is an import. Many thanks in advance Guys.........:hyper:

Guys, Just in the process of making the final choice on my new wheels. Ive sorted the sizing on the front, but im struggling the figure out whats the most extreme offset i can go on the rear. The problem with the type of wheel im going for i only have 2 options for the 10 inch wide rear wheel. They are: +18 +38. This is the look im after: Now do i go for the +18 and run the risk that the offset is too aggressive, (or end up with an insanely stanced car) or do i play it safe and go for the +38 and just wack some spacers on to fill the gaps Your suggestions please
