Two of the televisions in the house need replacing so I need some advice on what to get and some questions answered as im out of touch with this sort of thing. Looking to get a pair of 24" tv's with built in free view receivers. Currently there is a single aerial powering the non sky tv's via booster/splitter box. 1. What can we actually receive with this? Im wondering if a tv with a HD free view receiver will work with a normal co-ax signal? 2. aerial and dish use the same cables right? 3. Can anyone recommend a decent 24" tv, i've been reading reviews and there seems to be all sorts of issues like slow to operate and navigate tv guides, very poor picture q…

I'd never actually sat down and watched any of these properly until this evening The first I'd heard of them was when I bumped into an old friend on the train ages ago and he told me that he'd been tasked with working on some animation thing with McLaren, I thought I must have got the wrong end of the stick because the company that he works for are more Satcom orientated than animation, but there you go...it takes all sorts I suppose Enjoy guys http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbJFGPYBD_c *and I think Jenson looks like the shorter brother of Ed China off Wheeler Dealers!!

A couple of pics this morning, nice winter scene the trees to the left look like Christmas card pics however the obvious footprints are mine but the ones going across the middle picture from left to right are small, not our lab either, so a fox maybe, followed them around the perimeter of our garden into the paddock and across to the hedge but then lost it, I bet burglars hate snow!! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221176647669?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2648 Drove lovely, really nice condition, really tidy example. The seller is looking for £1350 for it though, which to my mind is waaaaaay to expensive for a 13 year old one of these, when the tax runs out end of Feb and the MOT mid May. Walked away from this one but will watch to see if this meets his reserve and sells. The guy is on holiday tomorrow til Friday so unless someone turns up with the cash before the day is reckon this might fail to sell on eBay, in which case we might have a contender! So nice to be in the driving seat of one of these again :D

I hope that this does not come across too ponsey but me and the missus are planning a driving trip to France in March. We love skiing, however I given now up the skis and now on a board but she still skis. We want to drive to the Alps and try different a few different resorts on the same trip and so need a car to to take us there, which has room for all of the kit. The cars we have (now 5!) are not good or practical enough so am thinking of buying something just for the trip and then selling it when we get back. Soo.... What should we get? I have said that I am only driving that far if I can have a fun car for driving the mountain roads once we are there, e…

Does anyone have their tv mounted on the wall? If so, how far off the floor is it? From floor to bottom of tv. Also going to drill a hole into the chimney to hang the wires out of sight. Can i extend the plug for the tv like extending any other plug or do i need special tv wire? Thanks

Great day of footie for anyone lucky enough to be off and have a partner that allows you to be in the pub all day. I've never been that lucky! Anyway, I predict 3-2 to the arsenal, partly because I'm a gooner, but also because city haven't won at arsenal for about 200 years and this kind of voodoo hoodoo has an effect on a team, and also coz my mate manc daz says it's so!! And I hate to say it but I think united will stuff Liverpool! Feel free to disagree but please keep it clean!!

I tried a packet of colmans rich beef casserole today and was surprised by how nice it tasted! I wouldn't normally use a mix as I prefer making my own but this was really easy. It bakes/steams in a roasting bag. All you do is chuck the beef, an onion, some carrot, 150ml of water and 2 tbls of oil, into the bag tie it off and cook it for 1hr15mins. It cooks the beef as well as a slow cooked one and has a really good depth of flavour, my only complaint was that it needed more gravy! I'll chuck in 200ml of water next time. :)

Any pc folks out there that can help ? Running Windows 7. Hotmail Live. When I switch on my pc (desktop) it starts up, loads Skype, AVG etc, etc and Messenger. I get the wee blue and green man from Messenger and it comes up and says I have several new emails, all good. Recieved an email from MSN today announcing they are retiring Messenger and joining up with Skype and to merge them together. I have never actually used Messenger for years. Talk to my daughter in China every week with Skype tho ! So, clicked on the link, it installed a new version of Skype, un-installed Messenger and all seemed ok. When I now switch on my pc, it doesnt tell me if I …

Well we find ourselves with a bit of a dilemma on our hands and I wouldn't mind your thoughts on this one. Back last year our family wagon threw a rod on the M4 and has since been parked up. A week or so later we went and bought a different MPV (a VW Touran) so that the wife had a means of transportation and I didn't have to do the school run in a 7 tonne HGV (which was interesting!) The Mitsubishi is a '56 plate Grandis Warrior turbo diesel, being the Warrior edition it obviously has full leather interior, all of the usual toys and to be fair is in bloody good condition. We figured that prior to the engine issue it was worth around the £7500 in the current market,…
