  3. Anyone else watch the programme Skint on channel four last night????? omg! I could not believe what I was watching, quite how these lazy arse benefit swindling shop lifters and drug takers think is beyond me. I understand there are genuine cases where families are struggling and maybe on benefit but these bunch of wasters need dealing with, the abuse the one 15 year old gave his mum was disgusting, telling here to F... off and throwing a glass at her because she was just trying to get him up for school!! The main charactor had 6 kids with another on the way and the house and garden was a pig sty, the fridge however was full of stolen food including meats whi…

  4. The reason I ask is this. I am currently recording a 14 track album with my band made up of a group of friends and I want something really special for the album cover. There is one design in particular I want for the cover, it may sound daft to 99% of the population but I guess album covers mostly only really make sense to the artists at first right? haha I have an image that I would love re-imagined into a high resolution drawing in a certain style (kind of vector art mixed with a psychedelic theme i.e lots of bright over the top colours!) I would use the original image but the quality is poor to say the least. What I need is someone who is has the talent to draw...…

Hi guys I'm looking at buying some new drum stuff, which is quite specific and practically impossible to get over here. It's available in America though, and what I'm after is for sale brand new on Ebay for a decent price. He says he can ship it to me at a cost of 325 US dollars via Fedex... but then there would be import taxes etc on top for me to pay when it arrives. Now, seen as its massive and is worth in the region of £1700, I expect the taxes will be massive. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get this shipped over here whilst somehow avoiding import taxes? Or getting it over here as cheap as possible while still having insurance against it?…

I have an area that Im looking to turn into a driveway/off-road parking at some point in the future. Currently it is overgrown with wild bushes and stinging nettles. Looking for a cheap and easy method to get rid of it all, without me hacking away at it hours , for it only to end up growing back. I was thinking of filling a couple of buckets with a bleach & water mix and dousing the area ? Will this kill of the overgrowth and stop it returning ? Any other suggestions ?

in march i bought a car as my scenic caught fire on the way to work. Yesterday as i was getting ready for work i heard a truck outside, knowing it wasn't bin day i looked out to see my car being put on a flatbed. when i went outside to see what was going on i was informed that the car was sold illegally to me as it had money owed against it for a "log book loan". Obviously i had to let the car go but this is not going to be the end of it. I have contacted ebay about it as the seller told me so much bull about it and i want my money back. now i have printed everything off from ebay and have to take a trip to the local police station to report him for se…

Honestly!! 15 minutes ago my doorbell rings and there is a Eastern European chap (in a Yodel Hi-Viz jacket) saying "I have a parcel for you sir" But he is empty handed. He walks back to a beaten up 55-plate Transit van to fetch it, but comes back with nothing; and says "sorry sir, give me a few minutes..." Well I was still waiting as I typed this thread - but half way through he banged on my door and says "Mr Hudson...?" I looked down at the parcel and it is addressed to number 23..... I live at number 31 so I pointed to my door number - a bit pissed off at being disturbed. Who are these people???? And FFS, he is still outside now hunting in the back…

Just love the smell of Caribou Wax  there was a small scratch on the zed so I t cutted it out and put some wax on it then ended up waxing the whole car. The garage now has a great smell of Caribou  I can smell it on my hands also even after a wash I think they should bottle it for aftershave lol. I feel quite happy does it make you high also:balloon:

Some mate told me they do this on another car forum - so perhaps we could have a go just for some fun They take pics of particularly badly done cars that they spot out and about and then vote for the worst one of the month No cheating getting pics off the net though this should be fun and cheating would just spoil it! If everyone feels this is a good idea then it could be a bit of a laugh So here is my entry for May Spotted on the M4 near Reading on weds this week I particularly liked the way the front bumper was flapping about in the wind

I've got a Seat Leon Cupra Sport with the 1.8 Turbo engine. When you change gear it holds onto the revs for a second or so before dropping down, I wondered if this was a characteristic of the engine or a possible problem? The only other possible clue is that there's a big hissing noise from the engine which I need to look at tomorrow, sounds like there's a massive air leak but not sure if it is related. Would appreciate any replies :)

  20. Just can't believe it, what a shock, feel so gutted with the news, what an amazing manager he's been no one will ever replace him, Looks like Moyes is a front runner, lets just hope it isn't the start of managers in and out, who ever does replace him has some big ass boots to fill, David Gill is leaving aswell, Will we ever be the same without the great man??

  21. Seen folks asking about couriers for parts on a few occassions, so this might be a handy mob to keep a note off. One of the members on another forum got five Overfinch alloys picked up in Somerset and delivered to just outside Glasgow, tracked and insured for £53 !! Huge wheels and tyres as well ! http://www.directcouriersolutions.co.uk/ Alan......

My might AstraVan has been in for its second MOT today which puts it at 4 years old although it sat on a forcourt for the first 6 months of its life and we bought it pre-reg in the November of 2009 with 23miles on the clock. So we have had it 3 and a half years. Its now done 141,200 and in that time had: 2 Full sets of Tyres 1 Set of front Brake pads 2 Headlight bulbs 1 Set of Wipers 1 Crank oil seal 1 Front Wheel bearing Cambelt change and 7 services I don't think thats half bad considering the pain it takes! What other silly milages with next to no maintainence have people managed?

  24. Well pretty much asked the question in the thread title. Basically, got a mate who has a lowered van on springs, now her springs are 50mm, but she is saying the MOT guy has told her she needs short shocks as the springs will wobble and fall out due to the shocks being higher? Now im not up on Astra vans, so not sure if the shocks and springs are separate, or if they are one unit like our zeds, if its one unit, then surely there should be caps to help seat the springs, if they are separate then again, surely there are end caps to bolt to the body work at some point, i cant see why they would be free floating, because if you go to the top of the travel, then yes…
