Normally Im the only bloke in my house but my grown up daughter Louise is back living with me and has "persuaded " me to say "yes " to an addition to the household:yes: So here he is....... His name is Kane and he is 7 years old. Kane is an ex racing greyhound who has now retired after a long and hard racing career. We fetched him today from the Retired Greyhound Trust near Newark. In his career he was based at Nottingham dog racing track although like many racing hounds he was born and bred in Ireland Now he is lying on my lounge carpet at the end of his first day in a house. Its difficult to say who is more worn out Louise and me or Kane. Anyway here is a pic…

Hi all, Been a while since posting but have been kicking around regularly. Hope you're all good. Thought I would share my latest toy since the Z found a new home a few months back. A '99 C43 AMG.... Not everyone cuppa and a little understated but I love em, and that V8 growl is pretty addictive. Anyone had any association with these or any AMG's in the past?

Here's some food for thought.... ...The Government (this one, the previous one and no doubt the future governments too) has been on a crusade to reduce CO2 gas; and is taxing us to the b0ll0x in the name of reducing our carbon footprint. I have always been a global warming sceptic - even more so when, once it was proven the world was not actually heating up, "they" renamed it climate change - but! I hear today that a new study suggests that life on Earth will die in a billion years because..... ......There will be TOO LITTLE CO2 in the atmosphere!!! Yup, that's what is being said. Apparently the Sun will grow hotter as it ages (apparently common with all stars -…

Has anyone tried the Armour All Shield "better than a wax" yet...? If not, allow me to save you the trouble. It's fooking shite!! Despite the good reviews in Auto Express, I am far from impressed - I used it on the Merc yesterday and it certainly started well, so I tried it on Julia's Rav this morning.... ....And it was very dissapointing. So much for it needing no buffing - on a black car, it just smeared and left unsightly marks; and the sun was not properly out and hot first thing today!! And to make matters worse, when I looked the the Merc after I had finished the Rav today, the paintwork felt "tacky" and I could feel the dust had stuck to its surface. …

I really don't know what I would do without Keith!!! I got home from work last night and my wheelchair box that takes my wheelchair in and out on the roof of my car, opened and let me get my wheelchair out, but on it's way back in it jammed!!! Well without it I am well knackered and can't get out, so I asked Keith if he would mind coming over (from Wales to Liverpool) and help. He was all prepared to come over last night even though he had just got back home from an early morning trip to Scotland, but we made it that he would come over this morning. He arrived this morning, and fixed it for me, what great club spirit, he never charges me anything either. We have a gre…

To coincide with Marks thread "Something good is going to happen in July" (which we wish him all the best but dont want to give anything away) I would like to start a thread on the other side of the coin. The Committee and Mods where made aware of this a few months ago and while it was sad news to my ears I can see why it was done and it is as they say the end of an era.So not to give anything away yet we wish the old regime a happy peaceful future in the sun and a big good luck and busy days ahead for the Newbies.

Booked a few days away in Cornwall in a couple of weeks. Thought I'd try some of those websites like Expedia etc. for the hotel I found they all came up with a similar price - £160 a night. (Aren't British hotels expensive!!) I wanted to check something so I phoned the hotel direct and finished up booking with them for only £130 a night. No haggling or anything!! Just shows, sometimes, these cheap websites can finish up costing you money!!

i was working at my boss's sister's house the other week and she asked if i would get shot of a garden chair she didnt want, apperently it was her dads favourite chair and is probably 30 years old, anyhoos she is a lazy sod and wont do anything so told me to throw it and she would buy a new on, i decided as its hardwood and a nice looking chair i would give it a new lease of life i stripped it down, sanded it then bleached it (just normal toilet bleach in a spray bottle) to kill all the green mould repaired one of the ends as it had snapped down the join, and gripfilled (liquid nails) all the big cracks in the wood and sanded it down then three coats of cup…

10 days in Malta so see you soon.. Well been here 2 days, went to the south of the island today for diving. Way to windy as swell was bad, then watched army helicopter come in and rescue 5 divers trapped in a cove! Watched from literally 10 metres away, typically no phone with me for video. Still managed. 2 dives further north with 4 more booked.

Really quite liking this! http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/nissan/gt-r/59-plate-gtr-black-edition--600bhp/1480497 Think the GTRs look amazing but find the interiors really 'upright' and boring! Just doesn't compete with the rest of the class for me...

YEP got you all looking, you thought i hit 50? well it was the Temperature here in Helmand that hit the 50.1 degrees, that hot that any metal surfaces that you norm take for granted that you go and put your hands on door handles gates etc end up giving you hot flushes. LoL

I changed the oil and anti-freeze on my car recently and took the old stuff to the local tip. Oil was no problem but they wouldn't take the anti-freeze so I called the council and was told it's hazardous waste so I would have to contact a private waste disposal company. I just called one and was told £12.50+vat for my 5 litre bottle! Considering how toxic this stuff is I thought the council would want to provide a facility for disposal?
