Can anyone explain - I know its a logarithmic scale and not a linear scale. so approx every 3db doubles noise. 10db is a tenfold increase and a 20db gain is 100 times louder. so if youve got a device at 58dBa and another at 43dBa how much quieter is it? is it about 18 times quieter?

Hi chaps This is Mrs Craig David Unfortunately Craig is in hospital today - he's got to have an operation under general anaesthetic tonight. It's nothing too serious but it means that he'll have to spend a few days catching up on work so he won't be able to take Thursday off to go to Bruntingthorpe. He wanted me to post this on his behalf to give someone else a chance of going. Cheers

Yes that time that some owners get at some point-the dreaded "i think i might sell the z" has been in my head the last few days. The Z is a fantastic car but i want something i can tinker with if you catch my drift.i havent got the room and the knowledge to pull the VG30Dett (just to see how it works lol) I used to moan about always being under the bonnet of my MK1 escort 3 years ago but to be honest- i miss it. :( Not the Mk1 lol -just being able to pull an engine in a few hours and do everything myself. Ive got a Mk1 Eunos roadster sitting there unloved for the last 2 years with only 30k on the clock with an engine bay cleaner than what it was when…

Yep, youve guessed it, its another "shall i break her" thread. After spending 8 months of weekends and evenings when the weather holds out, and slowly getting myself deeper and deeper into debt, i seriously have to consider if the project was more than i could cope with. It was a mammoth task for someone with my limited knowledge of anything, but my dream of a track ready zed was too much, and iv put everything into it. I really cannot see the end of the tunnel now and am considering breaking whats left of the car. I have all the tools and space to do it, but its sooo hard to admit defeat! Current state of affairs is that the interior is stripped,…

Hello Mac Sorry if this post sounds rude as I dont know you and have no contact details so getting straight to the point, would you sell your Z as reading through the rides section I can see this is a serious bit of kit I do not think I have ever seen one to that spec here in the UK. I bought a brand new UK car back in 1991 but when I moved abroad I had to sell up. Now living back in the UK for the last 5 years I am on the look out for a Z that has had major work done to the engine. Thanks Craig
