I am thinking of changing the rear bumper which came with my wide arched 300zx, there only seems to be the one rear bumper that fits straight onto the wide arch kit available from zcentre, does anyone know of any others as i have this one and find it a bit boring? I am considering the carcept rear bumper, has anyone every had one fitted to a wide arch kit and how much modification is involved?

  5. Do you go on other forums? Maybe, maybe not. It doesn't matter. What's the best forum name you've seen so far anywhere - on this or an other? Our own 'Black Slag' always makes me chuckle when I see it. But today I saw someone called 'Terror Scrotum' on a motorbike forum which I thought was genius. What's the best one you're seen?

Spent the day down with the guys at Safe and Sound in Chester today. Great bunch of lads. Fitted my new toad cat1, but also connected it to my door solenoids, so I can open the door from the fob. But as a back up Len worked his magic with some relays and diodes so I can still get in if I left the fob in the car. Its worked out this is actually a great way into the car without using the fob. I wont say what it is, but if you see me at a show, I will demonstrate :) everyone Ive shown thinks its great. Will be back soon for the boot build. Barry.

Just started viewing houses today. Saw four properties at lunchtime today, and have come to the conclusion that home improvement TV programmes have an awful lot to answer for. Why?!? #@*&ing laminate flooring is why! It's just crap. You can feel it bending and moving when you walk on it because it's only about half an inch thick, and made out of something that's almost but not quite entirely unlike actual wood. *And* it's never stuck down properly everywhere. The best job I saw today, and admittedly it was otherwise immaculate, had one join held together with gaffer tape. Admittedly in the doorway between the kitchen and lounge, but nevertheless. For crying out loud: …

Always liked the idea of seeing 2001 a space oddyssey but thought it was too long? :D 144 mins is far too long so why not see the shorter edited version in 2001 seconds lol (33 mins to the rest of us) Love the cheesy music added over the top for the quiet bits :D http://swith.gazaxian.com/2001seconds.avi (right click and save)

Ok, this is a weird one. Last May, we went on holiday, and i bought a cheapy lighter, with a chav torch on the end...ok, as naff as it sounds, it soon became a valued item to keep..the torch was an led one and bloody bright, and many times saved my ass when i was out int he car when she wasnt running right. I lost this bloody torch, and hunt as i could, i could never find it, now this really bugged me, as i developed a little rattle in the engine bay that i coudnt find, and that torch would have done the trick nicely. so in october last year, we went on holiday again, and i bought one just the same, onl to get home and break the bloody thing. Now, i just be…

Guys, im looking at getting (another...long story!) faulty laptop of ebay for use as a carputer. Ive found one that looks ideal but he says that it wont charge a battery and thats the only fault. THing is im planning on running it from the cars power anyways most of the time but need some battery power just to shut the laptop down after i leave the car. WOuld it be possible to charge the laptop battery directly off the car and bypass the laptop circuits? or maybe charge the laptop battery every so often in the house say? Cheers all

i know there are a few bikers out there amongst you so i'm after some advice/opinions i'm 24 (very nearly 25) and about to take my bike test. i had a 50cc mean machine when i was 16 and have done a bit of riding on trail bikes since then - biggest was a 250cc - so i am not entirely new to bikes, but neither am i valentino rossi. i want a bike to commute to work on (just moved to london and the tube is already doing my head in) and for a bit of fun at the weekends but i'm not sure what sort of thing i should be looking at. i want something that looks good and has got a bit of grunt (no skinny pizza-cutter tyres) but i don't want something thats likely to put a relativ…

I just built another PC last night. My Old PC (I built in 2003): Athlon XP 2200+ 1GB RAM DDR 266MHz 120GB HDD ATA100 Ati Radeon 9600 128 PRO My New PC (built last night, finished installing software at 1:30am) Athlon 64 3500+ 1GB RAM DDR 400 120GB HDD ATA100 ATI Radeon x1600 512MB PRO My old PC scored 9000 points in 3dMark2001 where my new PC scored 17500 points. Even though this is a vast improvement I was hoping for over 20000 points. Im wondering if this could be because of the graphics card. I got it for £100 which is a bargain and does deliver great performance for a low price. Does anyone else have this card?

Been a busy week this week, trying to get the car all back together. Just wanted to say thanks to the following- Phil from C and S Woods, gave him a massive list of jobs to do, only thought he would manage a 1/4 of the work in the day he had, but no managed 3/4 of the list, brilliant service as per usual. Leon, from Alunox for making a superb sounding exhaust for me on Monday/Tuesday, not too loud, but loud enough, superb fabricator. And Pete from Nipponauto today, for retrimming my seats and panels and helping me put the car back together today. Barry

Yesterday I was picking a couple of small bits up from my local Nissan dealers parts department (YES a third of the price of one of our traders!!) and got talking to one of the salesmen. He was complimenting me on my wheels and general condition of Eliza :duffer: Anyway i just happened to mention that I must get around to booking a test drive in a 350, and he said that if I had the time I could take one out for a spin :D  So i did.... I took it out for a half hour test drive, and I can safely say that I was very impressed with the quality, performance and general styling of it. Very nice indeed. She pulled at all speeds and in all gears very well indeed.…

 I got my sunvisor tvs today, bought them off ebay, only £134 for the pair inc p&p. Bought them on sunday morning and they arrived yesterday from Hong Kong! They have 9" screens and do look pretty big in the place of the old ones. I'll put some piccies up later. One problem tho, does anyone know how to fit them?

Decided to remove the grey leather interior, as it was mismatched and had to be retrimmed againm so decided to go for a red leather instead. Pete@NipponAuto came back down and fitted it all - Gotta wait a month for the seats now though :( Seats are gonna be red leather, black bolsters and head rests, red stictching and the Z logo. Only thing Im not sure about is the dash dial top cover being red, may try a black one on that.
