I thought I'd better start a new thread rather than highjack bantambunny's. Can anyone tell me, in some detail, how to convert a Jap import Z32 from km to miles? Dave

20k ohms is it for 180mph? The guy in the shop only had 22k ohm, will that do? I know there's a certain amount of adjustability but will it be enough with 22k ohms in. If not i'll stick two ten k ohms in series but thought i'd ask before i peed about too much with it :) Mental note: 4500rpm in 2nd gear locked out is 55mph ;)

I know its a common subject at the moment, but I thought it might summarise peoples experiences for the many new zed owners that are coming along. My personal experience as many know is first a standard zed with boost jets for 4k that was an utter nightmare, autobox broke, rebuild engine, etc, etc My second zed though was a gem. 5.5k no problems at all, lots of money already spent on new high spec engine, basically all the modding done already. I'd now never buy a standard car. Its often considered sensible to buy a bog standard car so you know its not been trashed or had silly mods, but I think they are too old now and will often require new auto boxes, turb…

Right, i took the car out earlier and filled it up with fuel, after this its felt fine, no missfiring. Ive just been out with my dad (so he can check it too) and it was fine on the drive revving it. We took it down the road and it was all good until i went round a corner and it started to missfire, then it ran smooth again. It missfired abit more every now and then but not as much as in the past few days where it missfired all the time. Could it be the fuel filter? If so where is it?

I'm sure everyone's seen the news this morning or heard it on the radio on the way into work. A terrorist plot to blow up planes in mid-flight from the UK to the US has been disrupted. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4778575.stm I'm off to the States next weekend and to say I'm somewhat apprehensive, is a bit of an under statement.

I understand that John Helps passed away late last week. At the moment I have no more details than that, save for I believe his death may have been diabetes related. He was a member here and a frequent contributor in the relatively short time he owned a Z. If anybody has met him or knows him personally then we can send some flowers or make donation to a nominated charity etc. I hope to have some more details later and I expect something will already have been posted on IMOC, RX-7 forums etc.
