caz and myself haven't had a holiday abroad since we moved in together 4 years ago so we have been looking online for some late deals. we are looking for dates between 17th sept and 24th. they all still seem bloody expensive we really don't want to go near any 18-30 places as we need to get away to relax but a nice beach would be lovely. can anybody recommend any good late deal sites/travel agents, holiday destinations or if you have any apartments etc abroad that you would possibly be willing to rent for 5-7 days let me know. thank you all gaz

Bit of a problem with my girlfriend's A2 suspension... the spring retaining cup on the nearside shock absorber has buckled and allowed the spring to move out of alignment, destroying the bearing in the process!! The only parts I can find are the dampers - everything else seems to be a dealer-only part, however I believe that the parts are common with the Polo... What I'm after is the part numbers for the front suspension (bearing, retaining cup, top mount & possibly bottom mount). Going to try GSF tomorrow (but parts not listed in their catalogue) - anyone know any other suppliers worth trying?? Thanks for reading the essay!! Rich

Anyone else try to go to this at the weekend?! What a farce! Best summed up by the comments here... http://www.bbc.co.uk/wiltshire/content/articles/2006/07/05/red_bull_air_race_2006_feature.shtml Took 4h20mins to get there from Farnborough (should have been about 2h), and even that was with some deft re-navigation when confronted with each of the many queues. Optimistically left the car in the car-park but after 15 mins we realised that it wouldn't be on anyway (but it was another 1h30mins before it was announced) and headed back home. Then, some 45 mins into our journey back home at some traffic lights, the bloke in front got out and asked us where th…

Very random question: Need to do a quick and dirty print onto a T shirt from an colour image made on my computer printer. The colour repro doesn't need to be spot on as I'll be using fabric paint on top of it. Anyone know what I could use to make the copy? Tried the missus' Acetone free nail polish remover but the image is too faint. Are there any household products that might do the job? Ta! :D

Not a poll for obvious reasons. I will start the ball rolling as I have no doubt Top Gear will rate very highly and yes I can watch UKTV G2 all day with repeats of TG. Are you a soap fanatic or a Big Brother freak? I have to say after TG I cant get enough of Star Trek TNG.

Well I am chuffed to bits, been following Walker for 10 years now and I watched him win his first WSB race this morning. For the last few laps I was shouting at the TV like a madman, I did think about going to Assen for this race but decided not to because of work commitments, wish I had though, I would have been streaking along the track I was so happy .......

For thoes who dont know, I am a tennis coach and been a player, fan and coach for most of my life. Today without doubt was the sadest moment in tennis history. Aged 38 and suffering from an obvious back problem after taking out Bagdatis in 5, Andre Aggasi bowed out of the game in 4 sets against a young J Becker in the US Open. 21 years of shear joy have ended, to me he was the most exciting player to ever of walked on the tennis court. He may not of been the statistitians "greatest player" but for thoes that followed he was without doubt the man that turned the game around following its slump in teh early 80's. He just happens to be a nice guy too Fort…

well i was taking the exhaust off the car today, got the silencer off after coating the bolts etc with wd40 for the past few days. came off a treat, next is to remove the feed pipes back to the gaskets ( wastegate side and turbo outlet) pull them out and clean and re-coat them with aluminium paint rated to above the operating temps that the exhuast will handle. went to take the exhaust bracket off only to find one bugger of a bolt tucked behind so thats still on there. anyway the point of the story... only nearly chopped my damn finger off at the knuckle!!!!!!!!!!! went to help a friend down the road and using one of his tool knifes it unlocked and folded on my…
