Went to see the Falkirk wheel today. Very impressive and so was the weather, the kids were not interested but enjoyed the play area. If anyone is thinking of going i'd suggest taking a picnic as the snacks are expensive.

anybody know anything about this system, as i've bought a tosh notebook lappy and can't get mi cdrw dven dvd to work or be detcted in bios or on system, as i want to install xp pro but can't .. from what I gather when i boot up IDE #1 is on the black screen which I assume is the cd drive not detected, and i believe that some cdrw need the bios flashing with firmware to enable the drive to be configured..unlike tower pc when you can select master/slave /cable selct etc. any ideas?? richard

With a multimeter on the terminals of a motorbike battery, what's the highest the voltage should read as you rev the engine if the reg/rec's working ok? Is it the same as a car? Anyone know the exact figure? I thought it was about 14.4-14.5 volts. Cheers folks!

A mate of mine has recently got her hands on a starlet. Its the usual 1996 1litre piece of rubbish!! I was asked whether it is possible for a set of glanza bumpers and bonnet wud fit straight on to hers. She loves the style of the glanza but cant afford insurance on the 1.3 engine as she is jus starting off! Is it possible to directly unbolt the standards and bolt on the glanza parts??? Al help much appreciated lads!!

Now this wee puddle jumper is out the way, will get round to working on the Zed ! :) Daughter badly needed a new car as her wee Seat Ibiza wasnt getting any younger and needed a few bits doing. So, took a stroll up the local Salvage Auction and bought this !! A Ford ?!! Non Recorded and an easy fix. It owes me £1300 in total, 2001, 44,000 miles with one previous owner from new. Its now taxed and mot`d for the year and drives brilliant !! Alan.......... [
