Students at a local school were assigned to read 2 books, "Titanic" & "My Life" by Bill Clinton. One student turned in the following book report, with the proposition that they were nearly identical stories! His cool professor gave him an A+ for this report. My folks currently own an old 1998 BMW E39 5 series but unfortunately the auto box has just died. The price they've been quoted to repair it is astronomical so they're thinking it's time to get a replacement. They don't want to spend a huge amount (6K tops), so they need something second hand, with four doors, a large(ish) boot, with as many interior comforts and mod-cons as possible BUT also with a bit of poke and as swish looking as the budget will allow (my mom has hankered after something sporty or a convertible for a while). What would people recommend they look at? Cheers, Leigh.

Putting fuel in my Truck when a little old lady pulls up at the pump behind me. I can see she carn't find the petrol flap switch so offer to help (only because she reminded me of my little old mum). She's very pleased and I ask how much petrol she'd like and kindly put £20 worth in. Only then when I remove the filler cap off the back of the flap do I realise (due to it being written in big fook off red letters) that it is a diesel. I couldn't just let her clear off and wreck her car so I told her what I'd done and promtly got the RAC out. In total She missed he blue rinse appiontment. I paid £20 for diesel and £60+Vat to have her tank drained and felt like a r…

Just got email containing this, I think its a great idea, and I have already done it  Allan ICE Campaign - 'In Case of Emergency' We all carry our mobile phones with names & numbers stored in its memory but nobody, other than ourselves, knows which of these numbers belong to our closest family or friends. If we were to be involved in an accident or were taken ill, the people attending us would have our mobile phone but wouldn't know who to call. Yes, there are hundreds of numbers stored but which one is the contact person in case of an emergency? Hence this 'ICE' (In Case of Emergency) Campaign. The concept of 'ICE…

Just thought i'd mention this in case anyone else is into online games. There's a free open beta of Drift City running at the mo. Here's the URL: http://drift.ijji.com/ You have to DL the client and install it Sign up with ijji Click "Play Live" a few times until you get in. Ther's no Z, sadly, but you can choose to start in a 200sx, and all the rides are totally chavvable. It's an MMO, but quite a shallow one, more geared for quick fun than lengthy play.

I thought i'd post this in the non Z related section but actually it appears that this ebay seller has sold a few ZX engines... Basically I found out the supplier this guy uses, (Nippon Spares), they confirmed that they don't have an accurate figure on the mileage's of the engine's but approx between 40-60K, and that the majority of engines are simply compression tested and if necessary parts are changed... But this guy is misleading a lot of people, myself included, and I have reported him to ebay... Here's a copy of my statement to ebay: I purchased a Subaru engine on the 13/09/2007 from Motor Supplier, it was paid for via paypal on the 16/09/2007. The item fi…

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Leading on from my which diesel car i have been crunching numbers and have come up with a few ideas so wanted to get peoples opinions. We have recently moved so i didnt really want to get into anymore debt but just found out its likely that due to the house market in our area still trying to catch up on the prices its likely that even though ive only been here 6 months it looks like ive made around 40-50k on the house so i'm thinking of releasing some of the money. I get an allowance from my company which would cover any loan so as its stands my options are: Sell/trade my …
