I hope everyone is doing ok! My wife and I have been in self-isolation since Friday because she stayed in an LA hotel where someone tested positive. We have no symptoms but are getting cabin fever and still have a week left! This brings me on to the thread topic: what have you guys been doing to keep busy and pass the time? It's taken me 6 days, but I have sorted out my garage (almost) and built a workbench! It was a test of my carpentry and painting skills (neither which are any good, but it's not going to fall down anytime soon! Keep safe and don't get too bored!

Well I have been given a couple of old tools in battered wooden cases. With all the time on my hands I have decided to strip and clean the tools and their cases. One is a Baty London cylinder gauge set and the other is a M&W fine tools tubular micrometer set. so far I have re glued a few interior pieces of wood In one case that had come away and given the inside a rub down with a scotchbrite pad. I have just given the inside a nice coat of Behandla wood treatment for worktops... should protect and feed the wood.... It gets me out of the house and something to do with my 7 year old other that technology, home schooling or TV..... lol I’m show…

Now that we are on a proper lockdown i thought i'd start a counter and support threads each day. Try to keep me partially sane. One of the things i have started for all the old school gamers out there is a FaceBook group called C-19-G We have also setup a VPN for members where we will be hosting games over the coming weeks If anyone is interested add me to facebook and i will add invite you to the group. Seperate from this i also provide IT services and this can be done remotely and over the phone. If anyone needs assistance then please contact me i'll be happy to help for a small fee of course.

I've put off writing this thread for months,as nobody knows what to say to make me feel any better. There is nothing you really can say, but I know I have your support. As many as you know, I am having health problems. 3 years ago I was diagnosed with cancer. Unfortunately, despite everybodies best efforts, the treatment has been unsuccessful and I am now terminal. Im not sure how much longer I've got, probably weeks, hopefully months but I will keep posting for as long as possible!! You will be wondering what will happen to Zebedee as I am now too poorly to drive him. Well I have sold him to an active and respected member of the forum so he's not going to disappear!!

Hello again, In your opinion what are some of the best driving roads in Europe? I remember seeing a post with a fella from the UK taking his Z on a huge Eurotrip. Where have YOU taken your Z? It would be my dream to take my Z over and see the continent.

So where's the best place to buy a new DPF for a Nissan Qashqai DCi ? The one i have is past repair and i now need it replaced asap as its basically a straight through pipe. Garage prices are far too expensive so i'm planning to fit it myself.

Not far to travel on the metro underground, my wife and I visited Shanghai International Automobile City, it was a quiet area with dealerships scattered about. There is a museum in one of the buildings and this was our reason for our visit and here are some of the cars I chose to picture, first a Mercedes 300SL, thought the colour of this was superb. What next, how about a little mini.... There was a GTR... And from the rear..... And a write up.... A coontash…. E-type….. A Dino... Another Ferrari.... Then an old Datsun..... 240z..…. With a w…

I had to borrow the wife’s car a few days ago. As soon as I set off I noticed the brake pad warning light was on and a horrible rumble when applying the brakes. I remembered that the MOT, which was about a month ago, had advised that the disc needed to be changed but the pads still had some meat on them (not that I would have kept the pad when changing the discs). I went out and set about replacing the discs and was horrified to find this... I also wanted to change the anti-roll bar linkage. The near side came off easy enough (which was the side that got flagged as having slight play in it on the mot) but the off side has proven to be a pig. The all…

https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/audi/tt/105191/audi-tt-set-to-morph-into-all-electric-crossover?_mout=1&utm_campaign=autoexpress_newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_source=newsletter This is a real shame... I'm not an Audi fan, but I do like the latest TT (in RS guise); but this is a sad indictment of where cars are going. Apparently no-one wants sports cars anymore - just MPVs and cross-overs.... Really? Mercedes is killing off the SLC at the end of the year - for pretty much the same reason.... I know sports cars always sell in far smaller quantities - and manufacturers make their money on bread-and-butter variants, but we need companies like Audi k…
