General Discussions - Non 300ZX

I have never seen one of these before but saw 2 of them today!! I thought they were some kind of variation on the S12 Silvia but when I got home did a bit of google image search. Anyone know much about them, look like Nissans answer to the AE86 but assume they were fwd?

So I’m looking to get a new family wagon. I’ve been looking at the new VW MultiVan, which really floats my boat. I could get it through the business books, got 6 seats and is hybrid (not overly important but as I already have a charging station at home it seems like a sensible idea as the wife doesn’t do much more that 10 miles a day). Anyway the father in law was talking about the Toyota Alphard and I remembered the Nissan Elgrand. Does anyone have any experience with these, recommended forums (both proper and Facebook)?

Went to a local meet this evening, at MFN Nottingham NG16. Didn't take the Zed as off the road for a couple of weeks whilst I get round to swapping the shocks. No Zeds but a nice standard S14a, an R34 GTR as well as a good mix of classics

Went to this Classic Car show today, always a good day out, especially being 15 mins from my brothers. only 1 300zx & the 240z Club.

A sad loss to Acting - Ray Liotta passed away aged 67 today. I thought he was great in Goodfellas - one of my favourite movies..... RIP sir ?

Where do i start ? Just as covid hit it became apparent that we had drainage and settlement issues with our property in Troon. The front of the house decided that it would detach partially from the rest of the house and due to a cracked underground pipe and extensive cracking throughout the property we proceeded to get the insurance involved to get it sorted out. Insurance was covered and the exterior and interior of the building is to get fully decorated as well as the external brick work stitched back together. Hi there, I have just purchased a “Drive It Day” plaque from driveitday.co.uk A fund raising day by the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs for the NSPCCs Childline Taking place on 24 April 2022 I know my Z is no way an historical vehicle but I thought it was for a great cause. i picked the information from this weeks Classic Car Weekly.

Last Sunday the wife and I ran the Eastbourne half marathon. It was her 3rd or 4th time running that kind of distance and my first! She came into the living one day last summer while I was reclining on the sofa stuffing myself with something unhealthy. She announced that she had signed up for the EB half marathon, I said well done, you can do it and other assorted confidence building phrases. I really did not want to buy another car, but the government has forced me to. I could not pass this one up it arrived this morning. 2002 Porsche 996 3.6 315bhp Full Leather high spec car. Only fault needs an engine rebuild, really looking forward to it. Fun will start in 2 weeks

So after using the wifes Audi TT throughout the pandemic to go to work, I've decided to buy myself a run around as she is going back to working in the office and I fancied my own little run around: It's a Subaru Legacy 2.5L Boxer engine with AWD and a hi-low gear centre diff. It's done 171K, serviced every year by Subaru up to 4 years ago, then by a private garage. I'm the 3rd owner. The bodywork and boot interior is a bit tatty as its was tip run car/dog car, but I gave it a really good clean and polish and some of the damage has disappeared. It came with the roof bars and tow bar, so that's helpful and saved about £300. I'll probably never need them, but good…
