Old tool restoration....

Recommended Posts

Well I have been given a couple of old tools in battered wooden cases. With all the time on my hands I have decided to strip and clean the tools and their cases.

One is a Baty London cylinder gauge set and the other is a M&W fine tools tubular micrometer set.
so far I have re glued a few interior pieces of wood In one case that had come away and given the inside a rub down with a scotchbrite pad.

I have just given the inside a nice coat of Behandla wood treatment for worktops... should protect and feed the wood....

It gets me out of the house and something to do with my 7 year old other that technology, home schooling or TV..... lol

I’m showing him how things work and how to take care of tools..... life lessons!
