Why is it that I cannot get to grips with technology?? I mean I was fed up with watching DVDs "through a letterbox" so I bought a wide screen TV a year ago. Yet when I put Casino Royal in the DVD this evening I still get those stupin fekking black lines at the top and bottom of the picture. Sure, I play with the picture zoom, from "panorama" to "cinema" but whilst the lines disappear, I lose some of the picture because it stretches the image to fit. Why oh why does the bloody thing still have those sodding lines when the damn TV is widescreen anyway??? I cannot watch it as it pisses me off..... :rant: Or am I just being too picky?? :rant: R…

Just wondering if anyone's bought this stuff. It's substantially quieter than Dynamat. I am thinking of buying it. 10 Sq ft is about £23. I am looking at arranging another trip to the nurburgring possibly in august or early september, looking at doing pretty much the same route we did on the z run a few years ago as it took in some great places ie amsterdam, the ring, brugge etc At the moment theres 2 or 3 cars that i think are going and costings are approx £220 per person including crossing and hotels, obviously beer and petrol money is extra ;) All i will say is this wont be a blast up the motorway type of holiday as i will be in the mini cooper s and my father in law will be in his old mini so we wont be doing 150 mph :rofl: If anyones interested let me know Mike

Just had my renewal through for the Scooby and I cannot believe my eyes. £300 for 12 months! My car is a 99 so should not have the tax calculated on Co2 however thats exactly what those tossers at the DVLA have done. I know it states thats cars registered after 2000 or something are subject to the amount of Co2 produced although I have always assumed this was only relevent to UK domestic market cars. I wonder if they have now extended this rule to ANY car registered after 2000 now? If this is the case then most of our cars will be paying far more for road tax from now on. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem with road tax recently?

A rocket came through the roof of their porta-cabin. Amazingly none of them were seriously injured - just minor cuts and bruises although one chap is still in hospital as he has some shrapnel in his neck but all the rest have been released.
