When you are looking through classified ads, whats your imaginary budget? We all do it, looking through pistonheads or ebay etc. even when not looking for a car. Mine is a meesly 4K, anything more than that i consider outside my budget and i couldn't afford that :o

Any thoughts on this one? On the face of it seems difficult to explain. Have any theories emerged yet as I understand that the turbine 'wing' actually went missing which isn't the sort of thing a crop circle hoaxer would be able to put in the boot of his sierra.

Hi, My current PC is an AMD Athlon XP2200 1.8GHz with 1 gig of ram. I'm contemplating getting myself a new PC and wondered if anyone has any recommendations? I have no problem with putting a PC together from parts as that'd be the cheapest way I'd imagine which is what I did with this one (parts ordered from Scan). I only use it for basic things like the internet, connecting to camera/MP3 player etc and working on various office documents. I don't do any gaming. I'd also want to connect to my TV to stream the footie or films. Is it worth buying a new PC or shall I just format it and reinstall windows? Will a new PC be a lot faster for the basic things? …

There I was minding my own business, when all of a sudden, a central reservation took offence to my car and assaulted it...can you believe that... Bl**dy black ice.... Lost the front then the back swung around...bang.... Estimate - 3.4K damage on 53 plate Vectra.... Still waiting to see if it's a right off. So I've asked my insurance company to take my council to court for not ensuring the roads where safe, i.e not gritting enough. I phoned the police who also nearly crashed into me due to the ice, and he stated the councils excuse, "The salt is melting the ice then the ground temperature being so cold is causing it to re-freeze".... Ok so her…

An Obituary printed in the London Times........ Interesting and sadly rather true Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: Knowing when to come in out of the rain; Why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn't always fair; and maybe it was my fault. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His …

Evening all, just thought I'd post up a few recommended software progs that I use from time to time for various video related use on my PC. All of the following I currently use, and find to be very useful, depending on what you want/need to be able to do with them. So, in no particular order..... For DVD authoring; Nero 7 ( I personally don't like 8 or 9, although the menus are in widescreen, I just couldn't get on with them) Excellent prog, relatively simple if you use the Help files, and check on the internet for further help on tricky operations. For backing up of your own DVD collection; DVDFab5 (http://www.dvdfab.com) An excellent prog, it bypass…

I was in a taxi one day and he had this sat nav, i couldnt take my eyes off it cos as we were driving along it was showing real pictures of the buildings as we were driving past, it plays mp3s and has the ability to play it through the car stereo by tuning it into an fm channel, if that wasnt enough, it plays videos, pics, games nice size screen. A great, but annoying speed alert in the form of a police siren. All this technology for £99 Most of the picture maps are of major towns and cities, but also available are the european picture maps which is handy to be able to recognise a building or area you are looking for. Much better than my tom tom and great f…

i meant to post this up at the time but just wanted to say to all those into modifying your zeds be extra dilligent and thoughtful with the mods you do esp to brakes, wheels, suspension set up etc...a man was recently found guilty for carrying out mod's that sadly resulted in a fatal crash (killing his own kids)...the key issues in court were the work to the car which he had done himself...this work put the car out of spec and rendered it un-roadworthy he was prosecuted on that basis by the police/cps...he will be sentenced later

has anybody any views on these? they are getting VERY cheap at the moment and i am on the verge of considering one. currently got the Griff 500 so i know it would be a large step down on power, noise, looks and quirkyness but the advantages are reliability, could use as daily driver and...? now i have started browsing, im rather torn!
