Just been looking a different thread involving an Austin all agro and it got me thinking, whats the worst car you had owned??? Mine has got to be a D reg red Seat Ibiza 1.5GLX (system porche) in my late teens whilst i was driving around Hanger lane on the A40 in London, drove past a stationery police car waiting at the lights and my passenger door opened for no apparent reason and smacked the front of the boys in blue. I stopped and they had a small chat with me, one bald tyre, faulty headlight and the copper tested it on the side of the road, and snapped the handbrake. Gave me 3 points just for good measure.:mac1: Fooking thing was worse than a skip, as they are…

Does anyone watch wheeler dealers with Mike Brewer & Ed China on Discovery? I like the programme, I love seeing the old cars brought back to life. Ed is very knowledgable and talented, though he probably gets help off camera. I also heard that Ed China is a Technical Advisor to Top Gear? I know he has been on top gear, when he built them a James Bond car on a Budget.

It's been a hard year for my wife. Our daughter is 14 months old and it's such a pain for her to go out anywhere as nothing is local to us and public transport sucks, especially when you have a baby. She passed her theory test almost a year ago and finally passed her driving test after the 4th attempt today. It was such a reflief for both of us because I know she can drive, but each time she took her test the nerves got the better of her. I wasn't even excited about her test today as I guess I was expecting her to fail again due to nerves. I bought some rescue remedy for her today and it looks like it did the job. Bought a tear to my eye when she told me she pas…

Yesterday we were asked to open for Hundred Reasons at their show on March 29th at Birmingham Academy 2. To say we're excited is an understatement. For those that don't know, Hundred Reasons are pretty darn famous within alt/rock circles: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hundred_Reasons If anyone wants to come just let me know as we have a ticket allocation and can get them without booking fee :D We've also got a headliner gig coming up at The Wharf in Wolverhampton on Feb 13th which is going to be a REALLY good one...for once, not an "indie toilet"! :D ;)

Morning, The lock on my back door is playing up, the spring in the handle has gone. Not sure what the type of lock is but it's in a UPVC door, takes a euro cylinder and the mechanism runs completely up the edge of the door. It jas 4 hooks that come out when the handle is raised as well as a straight bar in the middle which shoots out (as well as the latch). My question is can I just change the actual lock part or do I need to get the whole mechanism from the top to the bottom of the door? Cheers Vijay
