Hi all, A bit of an odd question from my corner of this mad world today. The battery in my wife's MX5 has "just" not enough power to start it up after sitting for a couple of weeks in the cold. It's got about 11.8V across the terminals which I guess isn't quite enough to get the engine going. I've got a very old battery charger but I'm not sure if it works properly. It doesn't have any LED's or meters to show it is working. I've just plugged it into the mains and the output is about DC0.23V regardless of whether it's set to "Low" or "High". Does this sound right? I was under the impression that (car)battery chargers put out a lot more than that. Also, I can't get any…

Not sure if anyone knows my rights as to an officer visiting a house? im in the final stages of a 4 story town house renovation with a basement extension all the way under the garden. It's a high spec build and with the internal design and the rear basement construction altering from submitted plan there may have been a couple of alterations to the house without listed buildings consent :x: Now i REALLY don't want them to come around and am trying to send them photo's of what they want to see. I can't really go into it much more as it's a clients house but what can i say no to?

Just doing a bit of research into healthy eating and just did a bit of a search on some of the Subway sandwiches. Now, Subway promote their brand on the fact that they are more of a healthy alternative to say, McDonalds or Burger King. Whilst it may apply to a few of their sandwiches, a lot actually contain MORE calories than a Big Mac meal! I love the Meatball Marinara for instance, sure, I knew it wasn't a healthy option but had no idea that a foot long one contained nearly 1000 calories! That's insane! It's not the most unhealthy sandwich though, that crown goes to the Chicken and bacon sandwich with a whopping 640 calories! That's over 1200 calories in a foo…

Needing some wiper blades from the new Lexus IS model. I have a feeling that Lexus may ask for a VIN or reg mark. Just wondering if anyone works in a Lexus or Toyota dealership and would be able to get round that system. Thanks.

Hi, I just wanted to double check if there's any reason I couldn't charge a battery through a cigerette lighter from my second car while I'm driving? I'm looking at just rigging up a cigerette plug to 2 crocodile clips and have them clipped onto the battery. Would that be ok? Vijay
