was on our way to stop the night in southampton last night when a newish merc(silver or white) went past us the wrong way on the bypass /motorway just coming into southampton last night about 9.30pmish. He wasn't going fast but few mins later loads of cop cars flying past on the other side of the carrigeway in pursuit. Can't find owt on the news pages so presume he got stopped without injuring anyone. Any locals know anything about this? ps he was in the outside lane.

I downloaded Eset Smart Security, which is built around NOD32 and now have that running on my pc. Do I need any other software to protect any part of my pc? Thanks Barry.

I might soon be buying a Slicktop TT! Note: my car could soon be up for sale for as little as £1700 with no running issues and only 66K miles on the clock.

If a job offers a company car allowance of 3k a year, which can either be used to get a car or will gavie it as a cash alternative.... is it worth using to get a car? if yes, what is a good car in that budget? It would need to have 4 seats and be a manual - other than that I am completely open to suggestion.

after finnishing my kitchen extension end of last year i called in a kitchen installer for a price which he gave me and it come out to £7,500..me being a tight basttard thought that was a bit high and waited..anyway ive just bought the exact same kitchen for £3k.. the granite worktops which will run me £1000 so thats a saving of £3,500 for doing it myself,this would of took the installer a week to fit so thats one big wage packet he was expecting:mad:

I have been given a 100gb harddrive but I dont know what has been stored on it in the past or where it has come from. It has been formated and windows 2000 installed, but I want to get rid of any previous data on this disc just for my own security. If I fdisk the drive and format it and then install xp on it will this be enough to protect myself. Or do I need put some shredding software through it and then do the latter. I have never shredded data so I dont know what is the program to use, or how to do it. I have been lent a USB to IDE cable so I can do it off another pc. Any advice would be great!! Thanks Allan

Was one the way back home last nite from picking up the woman, and a glanze came hairing it up behind me, so though id give it some juice :) Xouldnt put my foot flat straight away as the roads were a little dmap and didnt want to spin the wheel, but all the way to the limiter, it stayed right on me, i couldnt get away, and for a TT, i was a little ashamed :x: Once ive got some more cash all the goodies are getting put into my car, i cant have a 1.3 keeping up with me :headvswal

I am really angry this afternoon! ok here´s the storyline..when I bought my Z in Italy and brought it to Spain I passed the ITV technical Inspection MOT here in Spain and since it was first time imported vehicle they didn´t put any problems..but yesterday I passed the annual MOT again and to my surprise it was negative; why? guess! they stated that the drivers window and passenger window had Solar Film adhesive protection...and that is ilegal in Spain!! you can have it on the rear sides rear but never on the drivers and passengers windows..I coudln´t beleive my eyes..I was so angry I didn´t want to listen to them..and they stated me either I takle them off or it won´t pas…
