  1. In need of a bit of advice computer-wise if someone can help. Just been given my folks' ageing laptop, a Fujitsu Siemens "AMILO D SERIES" notebook. As I'm more than a bit short of cash at the moment I was wondering if upgrading it might be a) do-able and b) economical. If it's possible to (maybe) swap the Motherboard, add a lot more memory, give it a faster CD/DVD drive and a faster processor then it could be the ideal thing to take on-stage to use to run samples off and other things. If it's the case that it would be cheaper to actually buy another laptop I'll have to give it a miss. Here's the current run-down of what's on there: Manufacturer FUJITSU…

I am probably missing something out here but can anybody help. Using Internet Explorer/Hotmail and when I send an email and attach a few pics to it, the pics all appear,,one after another at the bottom of the e-mail, which is fair enough. Question is, can I write a bit of dialogue, attach a pic, write some more, attach a pic and so on, or will all the pics still come out at the end of the email ?? Seems a silly thing to ask, but would like to attach a pic, explain about the pic, attach another pic, explanation, etc, etc Puzzled, Alan................. ps, Mods can you move this to general ? my mistake, sorry !

  8. The main road to the close that I live in was quite nicely surfaced. Smooth, not shiny, a grippy road that looked pretty reasonable with no cracks or lifting tarmac. I came home yesterday and to my horror saw road workers taping up the man hole covers and drains. I knew instantly that they were going to be spraying tar down and throwing 500 tons of gravel on it! It was a nice sunny afternoon, so took the Z out thinking that they would probably be spraying grit down later on in the afternoon (after rush hour...which would seem sensible). So came back from my mate's house at 5.30 and found the 'mobile roadworks' sign! Oh no I thought. I got the Z home at a lowly 5…

 I thought the tailgate tub for the Z32 was pretty bad until I saw this! Probably one of Spin Doctor's mates. :wack: Yes, the passenger door and rear 1/4 windows are welded up.

Alan, i know the crap you have to deal with, this is just to say you are not the only one. Get called to evict a tennant and her scrote kids, after they have done a runner and not paid any rent for ages. Luckily house was empty, but after clearing the house and loft, we are presented with this. The house which was only a 2 bed, took 4 skips to clear, this lot was another 3. All the neighbours have been dumping their sh*te in the garden. LAZY FOOKERS!!!! take it the local dump

If anyone can help me with advice on if this can easily be done: Got a project that will be using a dosing pump like this http://www.wmcpumps.com/aquarium_dosing.htm It's variable but I need to be able to control the speed/flow of the pump by means of sensors switching on/off signals. I emailed the company and they said "they all use DC motors with voltage regulation to adjust the flow". What does that mean and can it be controlled electronically? Cheers Vijay
