Any tech guru's help me on this one (er...not to mention my post re: ageing laptop that can be found elsewhere! :D ;)). Out of the blue last night I tried logging onto my hotmail and MySpace accounts and, although I can sign in, it won't load up either my InBox in the case of Hotmail (it loads the words "Inbox" and some of the items on the top bar but that's it) or my Main page (or Inbox) in the case of MySpace (pretty much the same deal as Hotmail, it loads the top bar and that's it!). I'm using Firefox v3.0.10 and have checked my Firewall settings and the latter doesn't appear to be blocking them. I DID try switching to IE tonight using the Firefox plug-in "I…

love this...it must have been great to watch  http://www.cbc.ca/canada/north/story/2009/03/23/hotel-prank.html A sleepy guest at a Whitehorse hotel fell victim to a late-night hoax Sunday when pranksters pretending to be hotel staff instructed him to hurl two appliances out of his second-storey window as an emergency measure. Staff at the Edgewater Hotel in downtown Whitehorse said the Victoria man was sleeping in his room when callers woke him up shortly after 11 p.m. to say there was a gas leak in the building. The callers, who said they were from the front desk, told the guest he had to increase air flow into the building by throwing the room's t…

This isn't a rant at police (I am one of those guys who has praise for them!), but completely the opposite, but it still scared me, as to why; well I'll tell you. Left home for Solihull this afternoon at about 4pm. Heavy rain, pulled onto the motorway, wacked on cruise control and sat back. Everything was going quite slowly due to the rain. Looked back and saw the car accelerate and catch me back up again. "I've not done anything wrong" I thought...as most innocent drivers probably do. Within those few second…
