As some of you may already know, my son is really into drifting and owns an s14. well on saturday we got up at 3am and drove to norfolk arena for his first drift day. was a great day and of course i had a fair few goes as well. was really suprised at how well he did. by the end of the day, in the dry he could drift the whole track.. especially suprised as he has never really driven a car before apart from an experiance at brands. (he is only just approaching 16). here are some pics from the day:

Unfortunately back at work now... but camera pic wife took of me scoping out landing on a backcountry kicker on Sunday. Hiked it a few times... looking back at it, feeling like quitting my job, selling up and moving to the mountains...

:rant on: Had to drive 30 miles to my "local" Nissan parts department to enquire and order a particular coolant hose for a R35 GT-R. I printed the relevant page and information off the Courtesy Parts site and presented it to the bloke behind the counter. Firstly, he asked what car it was for (despite the page having GTR/R35 plastered all over it). Then he proceded to look gormless and proclaim that without a precise model and chassis number he won't be able to find anything in the Nissan FAST system ... What a bloody load of dogs dangly bits! I know the FAST system quite well and there is no requirement to put in a chassis number and the model number of the R35 GT-R …

Is it possible to swap front seats, not on zed but generally. So I mean by putting the seat belt holder on other side etc or are the seats unique to each side, anyone know ?

Young psycho's in the making........how long before they get released and given new identities along with a new life in Australia ?? Just my view here, but ? Nature, nurture, plus an individual character's prepensity for evil. Couple this with a no blame, and a no real punishment culture, (esp at the lower levels of criminatlity, which is where it really matters!), and this is what you get....expect more!!! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/south_yorkshire/8469424.stm I fear for the future. I took my 3 year old daughter around this factory and I remember being stunned that it was still British-owned. Not anymore. We can't seem to keep anything British nowadays. It doesn't affect me personally, but it still pisses me off every time I hear about another foreign takeover. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704561004575012733950862948.html?mod=WSJ_mgmt_LeftTopNews

Well, after months of indecision my work is closing down. 4 factories + ours is the best performing + most profitable, but under invested in.So its closing . :xxx: :hammer: I can't honestly see if its a disaster or a great oppurtunity( i wont walk away with much ) to do something else, or do something for myself . So how has it worked for you? Has your life been improved by a redundancy, or has it got a whole lot harder?

.... Well almost. Looks very cool - until you turn the sound up and can hear the horrible transformer like sound they make. Also not sure if they can offer any side impact protection, or a safe exit in the event of even a slight side impact, let a lone a role!! But cool non the less I feel!!

Spotted this on another forum and thought I should spread the word. SIP 5 Gallon parts washer £10.00 http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_189766_langId_-1_categoryId_165727 SIP 3/8 Air Ratchet set £10.00 http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_184229_langId_-1_categoryId_165727 They were also selling SIP air compressors for £10.00 but there are none left in the UK (apparently). Just reserved my parts washer and air ratchet set. Picking them up tomorrow :D:D
