Looking to buy another car- not selling Zed or my 200 though- looking through various sites I see quite a few cars for sale which are sorned!! How can you legally take these for a test drive other than a quick run round the block hoping 'plod' doesn't spot you?

So as some of you know I lost my job through redundancy at the end of July 2009. I've been struggling (a LOT) since then to get another and after 6 gruelling, long months I've finally accepted an offer today!! :clap: I'm SOO happy! Off to South Africa on Monday. Does anyone know if an International Drivers' Permit is required for South Africa? I know in the days before photo card licences, you needed an international drivers' licence as I used to have to get them for the USA. But since getting my photocard licence, I've never had to. Now my God father, who's a QC phoned me up earlier to say he needed one when he went to South Africa a few years ago, so I'd assumed he'd be correct since he's a man of law. Bit I can't find anything that tells me whether I have a photo card licence that I'll need one? AFAIK, I don't, just want to make sure as this is my first trip to SA. Anyone know?

Briefly! Have had problems with Sky- have now got a new viewing card- problem still persists (i.e. cant get all channels but only intermittent problem- it's ok for a short while - max of one hour- if I unplug from mains. Spoken to Sky several times (always different people) & they now want to send an engineer at cost to me of £65!! If a new box is needed they can give me a reconditioned one at no charge but only has 90 day warranty. The box was installed 15/5/2006 so not exactly 'old'. Any suggestions? Better to get a local engineer out or ditch SKY & go cable?

Hi folks. Just wonder thoughts on the celica gt-4? Ive been offered a MINT gt-4 for roughly 4-4.5k Its a 94 model with only 65k on it. Has had the suspension arms replaced both fig 8s full service history no rust what-so-ever. Its mint, in white with white multi spoke alloys. Any thoughts on the car? Its running approx 300BHP? Is it easy to get more from it? Only reason im thinking on this as the right 300 hasnt come up yet that i like.
