Hi all, Have done the "search" thing and I'm either being a real man about (ie, incapable of searching for anything) or this particular question has not been covered. What I'm after is a set of four, 25~30mm hubcentric wheel spacers for my Jeep Grand Cherokee. Have found plenty in the US but given the crap exchange rate and high shipped weight of the b*ggers I'd rather buy them in the UK. I have googled and bing'd but can't find anyone in the UK who supplies there. So I might have to go down the custom manufacturing route. The question is, does anyone know a company that will CNC these for me to my specification and at a reasonable price? I might be a…

Evening all, I have a Dell D610 laptop that's not working and I hope someone here could point me in the right direction..... Symptoms.... Firstly it froze and had problems switching it off. Then when switched back on again the following day all three lights lite, then turned off. So I did a search on net and after following various leads I decided that the motherboard was shot. So guaranteed working, used, laptop base (case, motherboard, fan) assembly was obtained and I've just fitted the old ram, processor, heatsink, hard drive, DVD drive and screen and turned her on....... All three lights come on, go off then the Caps Lock light starts to flash for about 1…

Hi Guys, Any SharePoint admins/users out there? need to ask a few Q's Rich

Been wondering! In the 60's & 70's & perhaps the 80's cars rusted away for fun. Manufacturers then started proper rustproofing treatment & better build quality to prolong life so cars would last say 20/30 years. Then sophisticated electronics were introduced to make cars 'better'/ 'safer' but this has lead to cars being perfectly serviceable from a rust perspective but being scrapped because it's not economical sense to spend several hundred pounds on replacing parts on a car worth, say, £1500. Two questions 1. Is it still worth manufacturers rustproofing cars to the extent they do? 2. When were the 'best' cars built? i.e. When rust wasn't a pro…

OK, so buying the Rover 820 Vitesse Coupe may of been a mistake, considering how dissapointed I am with it. The car in general has been fine, I just don't like how harsh the ride is or the fact that I've had so much bad luck with it (and please don't just say, well it's a Rover what do you expect, because the problems could of been on any car!;) ).... Anyway I've been looking around for something I like the look of, is cheap and will be comfortable to drive to and from work on a daily basis (40 mile round trip). I've decided I can afford to run a 2.0l so upto that will be fine, but I've had trouble to find something that I actually like the look of. I don't just want a …

Unwitting motorists face £1,000 fines as thousands of photo card driving licences expire Thousands of motorists are at risk of being fined up to £1,000 because they are unwittingly driving without a valid licence. They risk prosecution after failing to spot the extremely small print on their photo card licence which says it automatically expires after 10 years and has to be renewed - even though drivers are licensed to drive until the age of 70. The fiasco has come to light a decade after the first batch of photo licences was issued in July 1998, just as the they start to expire. Motoring organisations blamed the Government for the fiasco and said 'mo…

Went out straight after work last night with my flatmates to watch the England match and ended up having a pretty large night. Got back to the flat around 3am to find it's been robbed!! All the stuff is everywhere. Whole place was upside down. They didn't take the bigger items - tv, playstation, xbox, etx - but they did take laptops, cameras, ipods.....AND MY CAR KEYS!! Both sets too as they'd dug through all my drawers! Luckily the car is garaged and I had the garage key on my but if not I reckon the car definitely would have been knicked too!! Thing is I now have to get the locks changed including ignition, etc....such a ball ache! Plus there's the risk of the…
