Hi Guys, anyone know how to delimit a Volkswagon caddy van? I think its a 1.9 non-turbo!! diesel, flat as a fart and electronically limited to 70mph, which is annoying and makes overtaking very hard. Its a 2010 model if it makes any difference....

There i was last night , cruising up the A1, i admit it, probably doing 80, when some small red car pulls out infront, so i take immediate evasive action and ... a) Brake b) crash into him c) accelerate up to 100, pass him with a smug smile. yep..c). Only then do i look up, FLASH, Sh1t, look at speedo, even bigger sh1t.. Its not me, i've been driving over 30 years, yes!! 30years, NO speeding tickets, i swear its the car, that bleeding turbo gauge just keeps looking at me, egging me on, daring me, its like a scene out of some Edgar Alan Poe book. (apologise to our younger viewers) So its either my license is going to go, or the Zed... is there a ZA …

My partner has a 2004 Renault Scenic 1.5dci, when she went out yesterday the clutch pedal stuck down and it would not go into gear. Now the clutch pedal stays down on the floor and you have to pull it back up and it will not go into any gear. At first I thought the clutch might of gone, but now I am thinking it might be something like the slave cylinder? It was running fine prior to this, has anyone got any ideas what might be wrong with it?

I rented a house to a gay couple, they have been shite payers the whole way through. They made referencing all checked out and were fully manged by an agency. Out of the ten months that they lived there the always paid their rent late or not at all but were never quite behind enough to get a court order to get them out. I got a call from the managing agents telling me that they had apparantly just split and run before the end of the tenancy. I went to the house a few days back to find they had gone but had trashed the place. When I say that it was a nice house im not kidding I spent £15K on it last year after I bought it. New fitted Kitchen, luxury Bathroom wi…

Just bought some Audi wheels for the girlfriends new polo, standard wheels are 4x100, new ones are 5x100. I know PCD adapters are available (about £120) but I've noticed on the net that a couple of people have had wheels re-drilled. Would this raise any safety concerns or is it ok? I'm guessing any machine shop would be able to carry out the conversion? If its an acceptable way round it and works out a fair amount cheaper then we'll go down that route. thankZ :sweatdrop:

Just wondering if anybody else has encountered a similar problem. As my wife will be starting a university course within the next year or so we looked for a cheap car that wasn't too costly to run. We found a newly imported 1999 NISSAN WINGROAD; a simple 1.4ltr automatic estate that only had 50k on the clock. The problem is no insurance company has it on their database and so won't insure it. ADRIAN FLUX have said that they'll insure it for £450 + the same again in excess. Now it only costs me £200 to insure my 3.0ltr Hilux and it only used to cost me £300 odd to insure my Z32 TT with only 3 years no claims. How on earth can it cost …

The girlfriend sold her Saxo VTR last night, and we've been hunting around for a Polo for the past few days. First thing this morning, there was a newly listed one on pistonheads that ticked all the boxes for us. At the end of the information it said that the car is in very good condition. I rang the chap to make sure it was still available, and the first question I posed to him was regarding the condition, to which he backed up the advert and said yes its very good, so I told him we'd make our way over with the intention to leave a deposit if we liked it. So we set off to Bradford, some 85 miles each way; when we arrived there the chap was just seeing to a…

This was one of the most random things that I have ever done. Im into History, live in a quirky old thatched place and love going out metal detecting. My old school friend (in the pictures) is a real nutter, we do all sorts of random kind of "last of the summer wine" kind of stuff. Anyhows my mate wants to start a car clocking business, oops I mean milage correction business. He is a few grand short for the stuff so kept on asking me to excavate my old medievel well. I agreed one day for a bit of fun and boy was it a filthy messy weekend. We hired a water pump, sucked all the water out and pumped it towards my **** of a next door neighbours garden lol. We then…
