Not seen any broadband threads on here and thought it was a good idea to see whos the best broadband supplier in the UK, I`ve been with BT for years and just realised I`m paying far too much for a crap slow broadband service. Obvioulsy depends on area but at the moment I`m getting 1.4mbs and its costing me £40 per month!!!! My new option is FTTC broadband, which is basically a fibre optic cable that has been installed to your local bt cabinet and then runs the old copper cable to the house, this will get me 28mbs for about the same money Fibre optic to my house is not available yet so I will have to live with slowish connection so.... what have you got…

my son and his lovely fiancé have been waiting to be parents for the last 9 months ,and for me and my wife to become grandparents, the pregnancy was flawless and so on Wednesday baby Maisie was delivered by emergency c section , the baby was distressed ,the cause being the cord twice round her little neck , this had reduced blood and oxygen supply and poor Maisie was born with no heart beat, she was revived by a fantastic medical team at the James cook hospital in Middlesbrough but it took 7 minutes to get a pulse, Maisie is now in intensive care where she has been for he last three days of this nightmare, her whole body has taken a massive hit, heart , kidneys , bowels e…

just a quick tip - not sure if many people realise: on a pay monthly contract phone, once you are out of contract the provider should if possible unlock your phone for free. I read about this on tinterweb a while back & phoned O2 today to get my iphone unlocked so I can pass it on. quick call & they are sending a code that you put into itunes that will unlock to any network next time I plug in. they said they can unlock most phones like this now once you are out of contract. Just though I would share :)

I've never organised a courier to go and pick up something so can anyone give me some advice on how to go about it? It's a set of wheels that are in Derby so I don't fancy the 10 hour round trip to go and collect them lol

I'm not one to sling mud about a national company in public but these cowboys are just doing my bloody head in..... I had previously been subscribed to Tiscali's broadband service for years and never had any problems with the service. But ever since Tiscali and TalkTalk merged, my internet connection has gotten progressively slower. And slower. And slower.:angry: So much so that viewing a simple YouTube video (or trying to) makes me want to put my fist through the screen. It's painful - each frame ticks by, stopping every 2 seconds to buffer. And even then, if I dare try to open a web page in another tab at the same time, it just cannot cope. And I…

I just stumbled across this on ebay:- BMW E21 323i Baur Cabrio http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1981-BMW-323i-Baur-convertible-black-/180723739126?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2a13f969f6 I know its expensive and mint etc, but my mum's partner has one in his garage, been parked up for 10-15 years. Its a little dusty, but generally its pretty good condition! Best part is, sounds like he could do with it out the way, and I'm sure beer tokens would buy it! So is it retro-cool? The Baur was a special edition, combining targa top or full convertible. A fresh paint job, good overhaul, and maybe a cheeky nissan engine and brake/wheel set up could …

From the link below has anyone ever repaired one of these, are the panels bolt on etc. Looks like a lot of car for not a lot of money, I know these cars can suffer from reliability issues but this looks like a good project as long as there isnt any chassis damage. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1996-TVR-CERBERA-4-2-REBIULT-ENGINE-/220816870648?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3369b60cf8#ht_1252wt_1396 Any input welcome guys. Since the Rocco has been playing up, I have been using the Zed as a daily driver recently, and after doing some sums, i realised that it is costing me between 240 and 400 quid a month in petrol!!!! So i bit the bullet and decided i needed a sensible, practical grown up car, with this in mind i just bought an LPG estate: I just drove back from Walsall, and got 100miles out of £10 worth of gas. HAPPY DAYS. However, it has the loudest 4.5" rudeboy exhaust i have ever heard!!! Puts the zed to shame.
