General Discussions - Non 300ZX

Hi Paul (or anyone else who might know) Ive been doing a bit of car shopping with the Mrs. We were looking at small SUV and picked out an Audi Q5 - seems like a great car, and probably our pic of the SUV bunch. However, we popped into Mercedes yesterday and checked out the ML. We hadnt previouslly looked at these as we thought they were a bit big/pricey, but there were some great deals on. I realise there is a new model due for April 2012, so i guess thats the reason for the good deals. Spent the whole weekend fitting our new bathroom, am fooking knackered as its tiles, new suite, fan, light, the lot! Anyway, I bought some laminate floor as I liked the look of it, wood style clip together jobbie, but on the packet it says 'not suitable for wet rooms, i.e. bathrooms or saunas'. Does this mean I cannot use it in a domestic bathroom, or is it just saying that I cant use it in an actual 'wet room'? If it is referring to my bathroom, what could possibly go wrong if I did fit it?

I`m tempted with a pair of good gaming headsets for Ps3 , gotta be 5.1 at least, any recommends from you gamers out there? I see Sony have just bought out some official 7.1 for the ps3, any good? CheerZ

I need a couple of tyres before I can mot a car. Car has no mot, tax or insurance. Would be too much a PITA to just takes the wheels down. am I ok just phoning the shop to make an appointment, does that cover me by law or is it just at the police discretion if I got stopped.

Having problems burning some discs as the iso`s all seem to be 8.13gb now, in the past they were always 7.29gb? any help plz? does the layer break need changing? CheerZ

A friend of mine is looking at a 3000gt, i just wondered if many people on here had had one and what they thought of it. He wants a manual twin turbo with the 6 speed box. Is there anything big to look out for? I looked for a 3000gt forum but couldnt seem to find much. There was gtouk.org.uk but TBH it looked VERY quiet so wondered if there was a more active forum?

I have searched high and low but for the life of me cannot find any sewing thread to use on a leather dashboard the part where it rips out for the airbag deployment, im recovering a leather dash at the moment its quite straight forward only i need to find the correct thread to stich up the airbag pard does any body know what its called or even better where i can get it from? thanks

My lovely wife bought me a track day last Xmas so I am using it tomorrow afternoon, my first one ever and am looking forward to it very much :wink: I would of liked to of put on all my mods before this but I have been unable to so will take the car as is, I would lose the day otherwise and I cannot stomach that. Basically I wanted to pump out some water which is quite shallow but in a fairly large area. Its only 0.5m deep, infact not even that but just for arguments sake. Now I have seen lots of submersible pumps which are fine but I feel that its not really deep enough to submerse the pump and so it'll have a hard time picking up the water. So what I want is a pump, that has a pipe on the inlet side that can be laid in the water for the pump to draw from rather than the pump drawing through its own backside. Can anyone recommend something or what to search for? As there are hundreds of options on ebay but they are all the type you simply chuch into a deep pool and…

Since we moved in about a year ago the garage has always been full of crap. The garage was one of the reasons my fiance initially liked the house as it has an inspection pit :biggrin: So after many trips to tip in the c1 I finally managed to park her in the place she was always destined relax (the car that is)
