In the cold, does neone elses targa tops creak quite loudly ? when I hit a small bump in the road they can make a loud snapping noise like something has broken - weird !! I inspected them, and they look fine. Also, I am plagued with condensation/water on the rear window. Not sure if the air con is working properly.:( I used to run the air con on economy, but have stopped this in order to hopefully get rid of the water. Economy is only for summer methinks !!

1. My white 300 looks cool with iced up windows and snow on the bonnet ! 2. Anyone see Top Gear gut the Jag to lower 0-60 times ? 3. Fastest car round Top Gear circuit was a lightweight one with modest engine wasn't it ? 4. I read that 200SX's are very fast midrange, so their 0-60 times are a bit misleading if you race one from a rolling start. Probably something to do with turbo lag. 5. I want a 1000BHP Bugatti, but can't afford one :( :D

It seems the Daily Mail are kneejerking a demand for minimum 5 year sentence for anyone in possession of a firearm. Seems not 5 minutes ago the very same paper was calling for the release of Tony Martin. What a bent world.

First we had Hungerford, where some nutter went postal and let rip with a bunch semi-auto assault rifles. The rifles were banned and that was the end of it....ok fair enough BUT... then we had Dunblane, where a similar thing happened, but this time all the Scots women went mental and got the media in on the act (despite the fact that it was proved that the bloke was a nutter, and that the Police did nothing to take his licence away even though they had been told to do so by the blokes doctor and social workers). As some of you may know I'm a Graphic Designer and also own a vinyl cutter. These two factors led me to think... I'm having my car resprayed in January and my mind has turned to how to stop, or at least minimalise, the stone chips, the biggest problem area seems to be on the front of the sills as the road debris has a fantastic sand-blasting effect on the paintwork. The other area that takes a real bashing is the panel between the headlights. I had initially tried to get some OE mudflaps but these are proving difficult to source. I had also considered a Car-Bra (US stylee), an ugly solution, although one I might still use if I decide to go on track. The lon…

After fitting the massive 14" (356 mm) brembo discs & snatchers today, :D. Plans for '03.......Time & surplus cash permitting. Its gotta be lowerd 1st off. New ic's. Body kit...undecided which one i like yet :( Loads of engine bay stuff. de-cat but the smoke/seal failure senario would annoy me (advice welcome). One of those boost tv controllers would be nice. Just been looking at some old threads and noticed alot of you know matty from topsquads. Well yes it was me that brought mattys zed and just to keep mattys peace of mind i can assure him i am looking after it extremelly well, infact it is probably better of with me, for 1. it now sleeps in a garage at night 2. it never goes out in the rain and 3. i have taken them horrible football stickers of all the windows.:D :D

so cylinder number six is the problem one apparantly. falcon have the engine in bits and said that main bearings have picked up and the con rod in number 6 is damaged. crank is beyond re-machining apparantly. i am going there tomorrow to see the engine in bits and see the damage for myself. new crank is over 1k, steve also said the engine will need reboring. will make a decision as to what to do tomorrow when i get there. maybe best to get a new bottom end and save the hassle, but i tihnks thats 3.5k before putting it all to gether and putting in the car:( anyone got a rebuilt engine for sale? cheers steve

i have had my side pod on for yonks, but it still squeeks and creeks everynow and then, and i am thinking of removing it based just on that.. What you guys using to seal it better onto the mount.. i used the double sided tape, but still find its crap? anyone got any better ideas?
