I spent today at work designing and printing my new logo window stickers for the Zed. I made a large one for the rear window and two smaller ones for the rear quarter windows. Good fun and I think they look pretty good too, as soon as I can be arsed I stick them in the car :D

Hi all I have not said anything about this before because I wanted to wait until everything had been finalised, I recently invested in a one bedroom property near Marbella in sunny Spain !! The purchase went through last Friday and it's going to be available all summer. Initially I will take the bookings myself, until I find an Agent in the area to manage the property. Weekends will cost approximately £25.00 (friends' rate) for two nights and £55 for the week all summer. What a f!"£INg week. First the other half decides we have to cancel our summer holiday because of bloody terrorists threatening to shoot down planes in Kenya, now I go in for an oil change and it turns out that the whole of the back end underside of the car is mainly rust to the extent that it's not worth fixing the oil leaks. Looks like I need a new Zed, so how much should I pay for a mint Jap Import with no more that 60k miles on th clock. Or are there by any mirricle any Uk cars of that age around. Must be a manual 'cos I get bored witout a stick to play with (No obvious comments please :))

Well I just tuned into the 'qualificationization' session that they are having, cant say I understood anyone of it. There was no Murray, and there was no spirit. They interviewed Frank Williams. He looked like the sport. :(

Finally got a Saturday off tommorow and I'm taking my girlfriend to do her xmas present - a day driving the aformentioned cars on a track. Anyway, she's absolutley shitting it, so has anyone got any words of wisdom I can use to calm her down so she can just enjoy herself?

Thanks to Jeff at Zedworld yesterday he seems to have made my car much happier! :D The idle today is lots better, (if it stays like it is I can live with it) It also seems to pick up quicker and doesn't feel flat like it normally does. 3 days ago i started the car up in the morning then went back in to let her warm up. came back out 5 mins later and there was white smoke everywhere out of both?, when you rev it theres a slight blue colour out of passenger side then when you drive off 1 minute down the road everything s clear. I have been sat in work for hours doing very little or repetative stuff. The F1 was boring and I have to wait an hour before the Burscough v's Tanworth match kicks off which I will be forced to sit an watch. It will goto extra time, I can feel it. Big thanks to Mac1 and AndyP for helping me sort out my car's problems. Pair of top blokes - helped me diagnose my problem and couldn't do enough to help. A 200sx came into the workshop with an idling problem last week, intermittently cuting out at junctions and erratic tickover speed. A tb clean, removal of the idle control valve and a clean through restored it to near perfect, the idle valve does need replacing in fair but the guy was selling so suppose he won`t change it, but the car had been to a tuning company and Nissan who both failed to correct the problem. The first charged £55 for cleaning (not very well) the throttle body (bloody hell!) and Nissan charged the guy £80 for 25 minutes on their Consult machine and a base idle adjustment! the car cut out at the first junction he camed to after leaving Niss…

A question to all ZX owners; I'm thinking of buying one of these seriously nice cars. Checked out one today locally which was a 1992 auto twin T import in silver, 68,000km. On test drive felt really good, apart from a very slight tendancy to pull to the left (tracking?). More seriously, on opening the driver's door I noticed what appeared to be a weld running across the bottom of the door sill to the outside and down the exterior sill; another exactly the same on the passenger side. Sprayed over in both cases. Otherwise the car was in really nice condition. So is this a normal part of the shell manufacture or something I should avoid (body cut & weld?…
