I have at last had someone brave enough or maybe stupid enough to try to outrun the zed. He was in a nice new sl500 merc. god knows what power he got but certainly pulled well. i left him at an island and thebn hit traffic where he caught me up. hit another island and decided to let him past. off hewent so i pulled into the outside lane(dual carriageway) behind him and started my chase. he pulled away from me initially then i started to pull it back. he must have then hit his 155 limiter so i went past him. he looked pretty upset when a 13 year old car went past his (i presume) very expensive merc. that teach him!!!! zedhot

I know a few of you guys stayed there the Billing weekend... probably no fault of their own, they've just sent me two very suspicious emails that I'm presuming are virus'd. One claims to be from Microsoft (a security update, with patch attached!) and the other's a Network Email Service announcement with an executable attachment.

In the mountains there is a cabin. Inside, three people lie dead. The cabin is locked from the inside and all three died at the same time. Good day for Zeds in stafford yesterday, saw two of them. One of them is a grey UK spec N/A H*** POG, ne1 here? second one is a red one which i think is the same TT as spotted in Telford a few times. #I know the owner of the grey zed works in stafford, cos see him all the time. I've read the thread re cheaper insurance for club members with AON so I thought I'd give them a call as I need to insure an Isuzu import which is proving bloody difficult as not listed.. Isuzu MU 2.5ltr petrol pickup... Guess what, AON said they don't touch imports MHHHHHH :( So, hears the question. Need to insure the above and need the cheapest way of doing it, ie can it be done on a traders policy to include my 300 and my wifes car.. or any other suggestions.. Cheers :cry:

my old car (now driven by the missus) is a '91 VW scirocco GT2. Its non injection 1.8. Its started misbaving for the first time since I got it 9 years ago (most likely a cry for attention since I got my new zed :) ). Anyway, I going to have a look at it today but I'm a bit clueless. Thought some of you mechanicaly minded types might be able to give me some pointers. The symptoms seem to be that its starts fine and runs OK until its warmed up and then at speed (~70) the engine just seems to stutter and die. Its intermittent and if the car is left for a bit will normally restart and run OK for a bit. Any suggestions where I should start looking? Cheers …

As you all probably know I am cr4p at making decisions! Well.......another one is making my brain hurt. I've only got the funds for one or the other - Lairy set of wheels to complete my Z, seeing as I've got 99 spec bumper, vented bonnet......and another thing tucked up my sleeve that I'm not telling you about till its done, or Manual conversion?? Ideas are being banded about at the moment but hows this for another one? Anybody who makes a major contribution to the site (writes an FAQ, does some major work on the site etc) gets either 1/2 year or full year subscription FOC? This sounds like I'm trying to play the ball in my own court but thats certainly not the case. I'm trying to move this place forward before we lose something important - like its members. I think if someone is prepared to put in a lot of their own personal time to help the members of this site out, they should be rewarded. Hows about it guys? I was set on one which was name based but the other night when I did more searches on the DVLA site I found one better.
