Did you see the news over the weekend? Apparently now that oil prices are at a low point, and petrol is (in theory) cheaper, the poxy lying back-stabbing incompetent 'GOVERNMENT' is going to put petrol tax up another 5p per litre!!!! They hope we will not notice it, as instead of prices falling, they will stay the same (until the next time oil price goes up and we're paying £1 per sodding litre.) How long are are they gonna piss down our necks and tell us it's raining!?!? More to the point, why do we let the buggers get away with it? Politicians set themselves up for running/ruining our lives, and there is no come-back if they are useless, other than to give the…

Hi Mac, just been reading about your car....you HAVE been busy :D As you posted, you have a change of turbos on the way: Garrett T28s. Just wondering what influenced your choice? CFM? Pressure? Robustness? The T28 is a roller bearing design which usually increases the spool-time...I presume this is a worthwhile trade-off for the improved flow? What allowances need to be made in the map? I would assume the T28 has a faster response "on boost" and so increased fuelling would be required at this points in the map, or am I incorrect? Sorry about all the questions, just not well versed in the charecterstics of garetts....esp in relation to Zeds ;) …

Just read mine, I understad that this PM must have been done in a bit of a rush, but it was loveley to hear a thank you for your help in supporting 300zx.co.uk etc etc.................................................... ........oh no, thats right, we didnt. I think this club should really try to keep its existing members a bit harder instead of worrying about getting new ones so much. This will no doubt get deleted or moved to the private forum but I posted it in general chat so the newbie know what to expect next year. Sorrt to sound like another whinger but that PM just hacked me off a bit.

This is an actual extract from a sex education school textbook for girls, printed in the early 60's in the UK, & written by a woman! "When retiring to the bedroom, prepare yourself for bed as promptly as possible. Whilst feminine hygiene is of the utmost importance, your tired husband does not want to queue for the bathroom, as he would have to do for his train. But remember to look your best when going to bed. Try to achieve a look that is welcoming without being obvious. If you need to apply face-cream or hair-rollers wait until he is asleep as this can be shocking to a man last thing at night. When it comes to the possibility of intimat…

According to my latest private message, I am being asked to pay a further subscription. Well as my time on here is spent answering other people's questions, either via the forum or private email, I can find more productive things to spend my money on. So bye to all the great friends I have made on here. I've lost track of the number of years I've been on here but thanks for all the help given to me and I hope that I've been able to return the favour. IMHO it's a shame that the forum has gone this way. If there's ever a chance to give it a re-think, I'd suggest a one-off payment for life. There will always be new members coming along to fund things if you keep a …

I like this forum, the members seem great, and it a good collection of z owners and enthusiasts. But cant help feel that people want more. I for one feel there should be a better members section(rides), with specifications and images of each members cars available for others to see, but with a consistant feel about the site, because as the moment the rides section is a folder which the owners creates their own page, and a good site should always keep the same design, so the visitor knows they are still within the 300zx site. I would also like to see more information about the cars themselves.(Ie, see http://www.fuelinjection.co.uk then choose model informat…

Am I buzzin or what, just been to the Telford town centre and on the ring road about 10:30 this morning, spotted a maroon Skyline on a M plate. I egged him on a bit I was is second gear doing about 30, heard him drop to second and we both floored it! I was gaining on him quite a lot but he would not let me pass by pulling into my lane, the sod. Anyway, I eventually got past him on the mini roundabout by Asda. I'm running high boost and mod filter. I love my Zed.

I noticed how many views Turbo Steve's post had just because it had Mac1 in the title. So I thought I'd try another popular forum member (but this time a much more controversial one) to see if I can beat it.

How much faster 0-60 would you say a Z is with a chip and running 15psi? Has any one got any times, as when I went for a drive, it felt very fast but its hard to say how much faster I was going. I felt when the car reached 80mph as it is now, would have been the same time I reached 60mph when stock. Any thoughts? I tried to video my first drive with my car like this, but I has no where to attach it to. I put it on so it was looking at my turbo gauge so you can see how much faster it moves :D but the gear stick got in the way some times and it kept getting moved too :S Stuart

I took the missus and the Z down to Devon for a week. I pulled into Michael Wood services on the M5 only to see a large pool of coolant under my Z  I called the AA who told me "there was a leak near the back of the engine" and couldn't do anything to fix it. I asked them to call the Nissan dealer in Torquay (as we had booked a hotel in Torquay). Apparently they were "too busy" to fit me in. So where 5 other Nissan dealers in the South West. They had a whole week to check it out FFS! I ended up having to take it to Weston-Super-Mare, and stay in a Travel Inn overnight. The next day they tell me that a pipe at the back of the engine (just above the gea…
