Happy Anniversary to me :D  It's been exactly one year to this hour since I first laid eyes on, bought my car and joined this forum !!! Since then we have been through some good times and some bad times. The cars has met lots of friends and seen off lots of enemies. It really doesn't seem like I've only been an owner for a year. My bank account tells me differently :D. Just want to say thanks to all who have shown me hospitality and invited me & Cerina into their homes. It's been a great year and hopefully there will be many more to follow. This is starting to sound like something I would write in a card to my missus so I better s…

i have my zed back - ok she's a bit late but whats the story? I had her booked into SE with a firm idea of what i wanted to achieve. I'm not interested in bhp bragging rights - i wanted a car that was easy to drive had had a good pick up and mid range. I'm a firm believer that if you can get 450bhp of good mid range grunt on a day to day basis it'll beat a 600bhp high end monster. well at the moment i dont know what she's achieving becuase i need 1000 miles before we put her on a rolling road. but i can tell you this.... 1) i've never driven anything like her 2) Pete say's "she maybe the most responsive car to leave SE NIssan" What have…

Hi, Today my computer has gone mad. It seems that some pop-up has changed the browser page, which is now set with "look up",with rubbish tabs and when used pop-ups keep coming. I've tried deleting cookies etc. history, resetting the browser page to home, but the new browser page comes back. I downloaded spyware nuker and it removed around 100 files, but still the problem continues. I've subscribed to the spy nuker no-pops programme but the browser "look up" seems to be stopping the programme downloading. So any advice? Anyone know of this problem? Is it a virus? Hope someone can help Geoff.

My home pc had a floppy disc when supplied but have never used it, but now need to open a couple of disc`s and it does not work. Although it appears in the device manager and has a windows driver asigned to it ..nothing? if I try to open a disc it comes up no valid media, I have tried several disc`s and all the same, one thing I have noticed at boot up the floppy does not operate, I am aware (think) this can be opted for in the BIOS settings is it likely something needs altering here?. So my question where do I go from here to resolve this? Jeff

Maybe I'm a bit of a saddo but I've always been curious about the origins of certain words, especially in English where we have such a diverse history over the past 1000 years or so. Anyway I subscribe to a daily news letter called A.Word.A.Day and as todays word is "avatar" and it's in daily usage here, I thought I may as well share it's meaning and origin. Although I knew it was something to do with a picture, I knew nothing more about it than that. avatar (AV-uh-tahr) noun 1. A manifestation of a deity in Hinduism. 2. An embodiment of a concept. 3. A representation of a person or thing in computers, networks, etc. [From avatar (desc…

Folks, A friend of mine has just had one of the wheels fall off his car when he was driving it. This was just after new tyres were fitted by a North London garage. It's damaged the car (to the tune of around £500), but fortunately noone was hurt. My mate wants to sell his car, and the garage has offered to buy it straight off him for £400 more than he would expect to get for it. My question is: Should he get rid of it, put the episode behind him and buy himself a japanese car, or should he pursue the garage through a solicitor etc. DISCLAIMER/REQUEST: I know this is a contentious issue, and is perhaps uncomfortably close to past events rela…

I thought my car was quick until I finished fitting my SBC-iD boost controller this morning. Spent most of the afternoon playing around with it and listening out for DET. I think I did have a very slight det once, but I was running 16.4 psi . Sorting that now and I'm running 15.8 with no det at all. Aftermarket intercoolers will be on order just after christmas. I decided to mount the SBC-iD in a Vinz pod :D. Not sure if that's the given name for it LOL. Has anyone else got one of these Vinz pods ?, how did you keep it from moving ?. I'm tempted to glue mine into place with some transparent glue, but I hope to get a power ID in the near future so don…
