    Well I'd never thought I'd see this day. I've just sold my Zed and PX it for a bloddy MPV! This is a sad day. I was resigned to the fact that I could not afford to keep changing the blooding heater matrix!!! I was not getting the enjoyment out of her anymore and I have a growing family to consider so she had to go. I would like to take the opportunity to thank you all for your help this past year  I'd manage to get over many hurdles with your help and am very grateful for the experience. I will miss my Zed but I now have the bug, I hope it's not too long before I get another and will be back!!! Watch this space..... Farewell, I wil…

Well my first day of being self employed! and think I could be rained off! Just about to buy a 24v SDS drill. Any of you guys used the Makita 24v. Ive always used the Bosch one but all my other tools are Makita and im very impressed with those. Makita has bigger battery capacity and batteries are detachable but is slightly dearer. But ive never used or even seen one yet. any thoughts from you fellow electricians (plumbers builders shopfitters etc!)

Merc have had a new braking system (SBC) out for a while now, which in its correct operating state is completely brake by wire, no hydraulics at all from the brake pedal to the brakes. which when working ok is actually very impressive. got to drive one the other day with the system (deliberatly) inoperative. FOOKIN HELL its scary!!! in fail safe mode there is a hydraulic connection to the front (only) brakes. with no servo. & a VERY spongy pedal that almost hits the floor!! i didnt think i was gonna stop the car at 20mph knowing it was gonna be crap!! god only knows what an old biddy would do on a motorway if it was to fail :( just hope w…

Just walked down to the end of my road and a motorbike has gone straight into the front of a mondeo, he must have been doin atleast 50mph. I didnt see it but  the state of both vehicles. I know crashes happen all the time and iv been in 1 myself but when it happens at the very end of your road it makes you think it could have been me. The biker didnt look too good just lying there on the pavement with 1 of his boots 50 yards down the road :( . Im sure itl be in the crosby herald tomorow but my sympathies go out for all involved. It looks like it was the bikers fault but my god i would wish it on anybody. Just made me think and to al you bikers out…

New laws are being enforced on front side windows & front screens. as well as the police carrying light meters, VOSA (ministry of transport) are also enforcing this law with checks at the side of the road. VOSA are also going around dealers, at this stage just to warn them to remove any film on vehicles for sale, in the future we will prob just be prosecuted  the same 70% tint seems to be the letter of the law, although speaking to VOSA they said any aftermarket tint will probably be illegal. speaking to our tinting company they seem unsure as to whether even the old "legal" tints are ok or not, but think they may be. the problem is, when ap…
