Yippeeeeeeeeeee Picking her up a 1.30 today....... Now I guess the fun begins as she's stood still for 3 months. Suggestions for immediate things to do after a long stagnet period. :dance: :bow:

On the business park we have one of our offices, there is a limo hire company, the owner of which has a purple poopra. He is a middle aged guy who told me that he would kick my "saggy rear" when he got his new poopra about six months back. Met this joker on the A41 outside Newport yesterday. Despite struggling with rear end traction I pulled past him at around 110mph with (shocking) ease. Today, he had a local auto tuner round to look at his car. Picked up a plenum a little over a month ago with the idea that I'd have a crack at polishing it up before putting it on the car when my 555 injectors arrive and....it's finally finished! Had it bead blasted internally by a mate for the price of a :duffer: first. He did the exterior as well so I could see what it looked like but although it brought it up nicely it still retained some of the "rough cast" finish so decided to break out the angle grinder, soon followed by the ever handy dremel, some wet and dry and finally a buffer! I left off doing the bottom as it's not going to be seen, the inside edges and the very centre were a complete PITA to get at but they're not…

Hi Jaffa & James300, Was doing your brake brace bracket invoices last night and got a little confused about the name on your paypal payments ... they both appear to be the same - James Morgan. My Zed is off the road at a garage until at least 21st April, which means no Easter drives, got a wedding, so have to go in the Rover :rolleyes: and there's a big Zed shaped hole on the drive. Put my new rear leathers in, only the fronts to go now!! Passenger side tomorrow, then the drivers on Wednesday. ;) The new Fronts have a nice Z stitched in........;) (Pic of that attached but still in Katzkin box!) :cool: Just can't wait to get it finished, the leather smells great!! LOL Matty.

Autobox just gave up again She has done 5k since last rebuid last October. Still under guarantee so Autobox specialist will hopefully sort it under guarantee, although I have to get the box out and transport it 150 miles. This is my second auto Z , I have so far gone through 4 auto rebuilds in 4 years. I eventually converted my other Z to manual but kept my SWB Auto as when its working it is a nice Auto. These auto's seem too tempremental for my liking and mechanics try to avoid them like the plague, there is only 4 places in Ireland that do Autos and they all happen to be in Dublin. Had a missed call on my phone today, from a woman asking if the nissan was still for sale, sounded like a call center in the background but it could have been just someone in a busy office asking about my car on her lunch break. Anyway, just phoned the number back and this company, car data check or something, reckon they have a couple of interested parties looking for a car of this type. A big smell of rat came over me at this point. Anyway they reckon for 80 quid, of which 60 is refundable when the car sells that they will be able to shift it within 7 days.
