I have a dilema, Ive persuaded my dad to get rid of his faithful rover and treat himself to a Jag as at 64 he needs an auto gearbox. I told him id need £6 to £7k plus his rover so i think i have upto £8.5k to spend, could possibly push him to £10k. Bear in mind that i will get to drive it i want the best, ie fastest!!!, i can find. Ive discovered that the XJR was a supercharged 4.0 V6 untill 1998 when they used the V8 instead. With the budget i have i will struggle to get a 1998 model XJR so may have to settle for the V6, but could manage to get a normal XJ8 but id like the fastest i can find. Does anyone know if the V8 is meant to be alot better …

Its only 'ickle so thought I would see if it would fit where the clock normally does. Needed to cut a very small amount of the plastic to get a snug fit. Just the corners of the hole really. Think it will look nice and neat there when its all installed back in the Z. Could've just mounted it from behind (oo-er) but it would've been a bit fiddley to get my sausage fingers onto the buttons and esp the r'h's dial. So cut a bit of plastic away with a stanley knife and pushed it through so it was flush. .........factory fitted boost controller!!

I just dont know what to do!! I'm skint the cars now been off the road for over 6 months and the worse thing is I cant see where the money is coming from to continue the project. I know i nearly did this a few months ago but ive just started a new job and money is really tight so do i leave it covered up and just do bits when and where i can? Do i break her? (far too good to break) Do i sell the goodies i have to put on her and just get her back on the road? or try and sell her as a project to someone who wants to carry on and build something to compete to macca? Its just driving me crazy everytime i see her under her cover and cant drive it. Also i'm in en…

Correct Answers To The Chicken Road Joke: Why did the chicken cross the road? SAEED AL SAHAF -Iraqi Head of Information "The chicken did not cross the road. This is a complete fabrication. We do not even have a chicken." GEORGE W. BUSH "We don't care why the chicken crossed the road. We just want to know if the chicken is on our side of the road or not. The chicken is either for us or against us. There is no middle ground." COLIN POWELL "Now to the left of the screen, you can clearly see the satellite image of the chicken crossing the road." TONY BLAIR "I agree with George." HANS BLIX "We have reason to believe there is a c…

...........And brought a pukka new head unit!! :D It's a Pioneer DEH-P8600MP.........very nice bit of kit. Plays CD/MP3/WMA (windows player) CDR's, etc, etc...... Can also buy some little 'add-ons' too eventually a TV tuner is soon to be added to go with the 7" pop out screen I have yet to fit!! (lazy fooker me!) :D Had to run an EQ test which involved me setting it up, then getting out of the car in 10 seconds....LOL....then it does lots of sound tests to get the best set up for the acoustics in the car, very clever!!! I've been sat fiddling for the last hour with different screens and displays, in colour too!! ;) Anywho....just thought I'd …
