Went out today for a spin. With all this talk lately about racing and fast ZEDs and Mac videoing the FZR1000 against the Beast I was in the mood for a burn up. I challenged a few cars that looked fairly sporty but none bit the bullet. Eventually though I found myself sitting at a set of lights revving up against a well kitted Ford Fiesta. Chris asked me to put a message up that he isnt about. One of his juniors has made it onto the ITF Junior tour and is traveling with him untill school starts in September. He has had the occasional stop over back here but left early today to go to St Peterburg and then to Sturgart. He just said he will try and pop in if there is a computer at the hotels. I was talking to a friend of mine yesterday and he was telling me that he has an account with a local petrol station and for the last few months there have been 2 new zafira's that filled up every single day and had was sounded like polish people in them. Just booked my first trackday in my S13, and can't wait! Anyone got any tips for a novice trackdayer? :) Its at Donington on the 5th of October (There are still some places left - http://www.bookatrack.co.uk) I doubt I'll have my new engine in and run in by then, but it has given me the excuse to sort out a few niggles.
