Took the car for a spin this afternoon for the first time in months! It started up first time and apart from the noisey lifters which soon disappeared (as usual when cars been sitting for so long) it runs perfectly. Speedo doesn't work because of a dodgy speed sensor but it was like that before all the work was done so no surprise. Non of new belts screeched, don't know if thats a good thing. For some reason now though its idling at 1200rpm even though it idled perfectly at 700ish for first 10-15 mins :confused: A list of all the work done... So thankyou lord for the nice weather, driving down my favourite country lanes with the T-tops off and the music up with the sun beating down really reminded me why I'm not selling up and am going to work on improving the Zed after it's Sorned. Starting tommorow my Insurance will be switched over to my new little Civic runaround (will post piccies up later... should be a laugh lol) so no more driving the Bayside Beauty for a while... :cry: Can't wait for the re-trim to be done though, and the proper ICE build, and after saving a while the engine bits and bobs that need doing. Soz for the rant, but... My girlfriend, Tess, is supposed to be going to Canada for 7 weeks, but not if the admin staff of the world have anything to do with it! She's basically doing a part-time degree, which is hard enough as it is. Taken my beloved Z off the road for 9 months, to give her a (targa to track rod) upgrade & restoration/overhall. She deserves it. With the help of a Mr Lack of course! :) Not that anythings wrong with her, I just found it SAFER to buy her indoors an MX6 to go to work in than worry about another bollard in Tesco's - 'thats another story' ;). what a bloody day. in the middle of fitting my headlight outside my house when a young lad in a clio drives by. 30 seconds later I hear screeching of tyres and lots of screaming. I run round and hes knocked down a little girl aged 7 from the estate. thank god shes ok though, lots of blood and crying but she was conscious, ambulance took her away. That mothers scream sort of haunts ya. Scary. Brings home the 30mph speed limits!
