I meant to post this a few weeks back. I went to check my tyre pressure as it was looking low since the chimp in Bathwick tyres (stonehouse, plymouth) fitted new rear tyres. I remember asking him if the valve was ok because it was spinning in its fitting, and he said it was fine. When I went to check the pressure the nut on the valve popped off INSIDE the tyre and the tyre went flat. I had to take the wheel off, fit the space saver, and drive into Truro and get the tyre taken off, retrieve the offending nut and get it put back on again! This happened in the middle of a 200mile journey, if it had gone on the road I could be brown-bread now!! I was going to see the people a…

hi guys just to inform you of what happened to me over the last few weeks. It started when I noticed a vibraton after continous driving on the motorway, and noticing an abnormal amount of heat from the front brakes, she was due a service so I took her in and told them about the vibration, I was informed that as part of a full service the brakes would be checked etc. I picked the car up and they indicated minor faults but nothing to do with the brakes, so a few days later I set off on a journey roughly 75 miles, I got less than 15 when I had the vibration again, it got that bad I pulled over into a services and got the car recovered to my destination, on inspection by …

ok so i knew i wouldnt be able to afford a zed yet, so ive turned to a 1.8 gti turbo. good cars apparently but the most i can afford is £4,400 which only buys me a '99 model with 100k on the clock. does anyone know anything about them and should i be wary of one with such high mileage? do the turbos go as this would obviously be expensive...?? its all vw history and regularly serviced, i can tell its been looked after but with this mileage i am still unsure. i cant afford for loads to go wrong after spending this sort of money... its had a cambelt change and the water pump also replaced. anything else that is likely to go wrong, engine-wise? my 205 gti…

I'm desperate to lead a more healthy life. Dispense with the junk food, enjoy eating salad and such like and become more active. ie go to the gym, run, go cycling etc etc. I used to be very active and super fit. But have let myself go, especially over the past 5 years. Now I'm still an ideal weight for my height, so not really any problems there. BUT, I feel very very unfit, I want to tone up and feel better about myself. This is all well and good, but I have a serious motivation issue, or lack of it. The gym bores me to tears amoungst other things, it's also the last thing I want to do when I get back home from work. When I do eat, it's as and when convenient, …
