Hi everyone, I would like your opinions/advice on a situation. I'll try and not be too specific for legal reasons. It might take a while to read but I if you can take the time it would really, really, really, help me out - Being stressed out at Christmas time is not the best!!!. In September this year I bought a new car and advertised my old car for sale. I was approached by someone who wanted my old car and they offered me a swap for theirs. Their car was also a Jap import, it was a model I really liked so my sensible hat came off we did an exchange. The problem was I still had two cars. Less than one month later, realizing that I'd not had the time to use…

That's it, my Zed is gone....... :( But only to my dads house untill shes all sorted out with new brakes, wheels/tyres and some bodywork (hopefully including a new 99 spoiler) Oh, and the most important reason, untill I can afford to insure and tax her. So Eliza's been SORN'd for the time being, but then as it's winter, and it looks like being a bit of a crappy one at that, I think she's in the best place. Added to that that hopefully i will have sold my house by then, I won't then have any problems moving her later before shes ready. At least I got to have a little bit of fun with her in the snow driving back from Leicester to Grantham on tuesd…

Hi all, I've got a little problem. The car is being MOT'd tomorrow and I'm trying to suss the wiring of the rear foglight out on the Zed. It seems to have been wired in with the side lights and not with the main beam, what should be the fog lights don't work. Its a strange set up . I need to know what has actually been done to it to make sure its not just me being stupid, and I've lost TonyC's number (the original owner) does anyone have it? Thanks Daved

As my Zed needed a new MOT I decided to ignore the bank balance and get the new discs and pads that I've needed since upgrading the brake calipers to r34 skyline ones. I got some very tasty DBA gold rotors and Porterfield Carbon Kevlar pads from Smithy (Top service as always, highly recommended. Cheers mate!) a few days a go and fitted the front and rear of one side today. I also fitted some steel braided brake lines that I've had knocking about since I bought the car. Here's some phots, the cars still jacked up as I'm doing the other side tomorrow. Merry Christmas and happy new year to everyone. Dave

Watched the Clarkson heaven and hell dvd yesterday night. Its a similar format to the last one. There are some very nice cars in there, including a couple of surprises. Its well worth a watch, its got the Ferrari Scaglietti which looks sublime. It also has the BMW M5 ('the most annoying car in the world, then you press the M button and its one of the best...'), the Ferrari Enzo (awesome!), the snarling TVR Sagaris, Ferrari F430, and a host of others. Its great seeing Clarkson hang, draw and quarter some of the aweful cars that have been around.

Last week I went to a mechanic in Dartford, Scotts who specialise in Nissan and Porsche to get the Zed a new cambelt and brakes. While I had it there I had the mechanic give it a once over to tell me more about the car and whats been done to it. After telling me I have a fully adjustable suspension I then ask him are those the right size wheels for my car because the car seems to be all over the road, if I go around a round about it will start to slide. He says I would imagine it is quite scary driving as you have mud and snow tires on the car which dont grip on normal roads. I asked if he could sell me some tires for the car and he said he didnt have any in stock but he …

Hope santa brought everyone what they wanted, all i want now is some dry weather, ill then insure my Z as it hasn't been driven since oct due to my new job fitting windscreens for the RAC. Its killing me looking at my Z on the drive, but when u have a company van free fuel i just hate the thought of taxing and insuring i car ill only use if i dry day comes, thats a big "IF". Have a good new year and hopefully ill be at a few more meets in 2006. PS my wife is expecting our third child in august so i won't be at USC this august, she had to go and spoil it for me.
