General Discussions - Non 300ZX

Not wanting to start arguments etc. I know why it’s gone this is just a question for Mike I suppose. Can we get instead of a post count, a ranking system? i.e. 0 - 100 posts = Newbie 101 - 500 posts = Junior 501 - 1000 posts = Enthusiast 1001 - 2000 posts = Post Whore (maybe not, but you get the idea) And so on. Not put how many posts = what ranking, just something so there is an indication of how much input you give to the site. Helpful for when buying/selling maybe?

Hi, Got a router at Xmas, so as the daughter can use her laptop upstairs etc, A week later and I am still struggling with it. :headvswal Got it as far as its installed on the main computer, (I think) It asked for the Network key on my daughters laptop, which we typed in and now it says there is limited or no connectivity, due I think to it asking for a new ISP address ?? :confused: We are with Telewest Broadband, Router is a Linksys, Compact Wireless-G Broadband Router. Driving me up the wall !! :headvswal

So what do you think, todays superstars earn a lot more than their older counterparts, look at beckham compared to george best, but best was a hell of a performer considering he was 70's technology. Same with pop stars, x factor guy sells a lot more records this xmas than elvis but elvis sold more in total so which one is the superstar and remember x factor man is a mass production superstar, not hand built using exotic materials. Just having a browse through some specs for some fast new metal and comparing them to the zed. Right, the zed is getting on a bit in years although its performance is still considered good compared to current fast cars. But I wonder how long this will last? IE, when the M3 originally came out in E30 guise, it came with a 2.2 16v 195bhp engine being replaced with a 235bhp 2.5 Then it was considered almost a semi super car....the Astra VXR has more power now which is a decent 'hot hatch', something that was given to the rather 'slow' MK1 Golf GTi. So is the old M3 still that good? Looking on a bit further, the current M3 has around 350bhp. The new one I'…

I have just got me a tom tom 500. What a remarkable piece of equipment. I also purchased the UK safey cameras £48. Its got a bluetooth link to my vodafone which acts as a hands free system and displays all in call info and it stores your phone book so you can call anyone from the unit itself and i get traffic situations en-route (1 month free trial) you can set up a warning at a pre defined distance set by yourself that warns of speed cameras it displays the speed of the road on the screen. its a lot quicker to respond than my Ipaq tomtom 3 and you can have a sexy womans voice guiding you to boot. If you are thinking about Sat Nav then believe me this is the dogs B****cks…

And GOD, was I nervous!!! A situation arose where I needed our Astra for boot space, and she had an appointment to get to - and our only option was for her to take the Z - which she has never driven before :eek: . Now, before you all start, I know it's not the fastest thing in the world (stock NA) but our Astra, her daily car, is a really weedy 1.4 that couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding with very loose skin!! Plus, with the roads being as greasy as they are, even I'd been VERY careful in it all morning. Well, she couldn't work my new stereo, and had to ring me as it wouldn't start in town (immobiliser). Plus, now my seat is all fooked up - bolt uprig…

I've had three old blokes I know quite well see my car and tell me they really don't like the Japanese because of the war. I guess they have good reasons so I feel kind of bad when they tell me that. I know it was a long time ago etc and it certainly doesn't put me off owning the car. Just wondered if anyone else had run into this situation?

:rant: I know this aint much compared to some peoples problems but...... I just went out to get some dash board bits off the car to aply my new alloy dash kit and new clock faces. Took my lovely new Cover off. BANG! My drivers door mirror has been snapped off :rant: I know who did it. The kids next door getting snow off my car the other day. You would think that getting a nice cover and parking the car on the drive (fenced off) would be enough. Not in my street it aint. Anyone got an electric mirror for sale please?
