As much as i dont want to join this topic I have decided to. 1) your all 100% correct. I feel that more focus needs to be put on better policing, this includes burglarys, thefts, car break ins etc. and less on the motorist. isnt this why speed camaras have been introduced? this should have given officers a break from these speed crimes and allowed them to work on a more public protect and servce basis. 2) Speeding at high speeds often ends in a tragic way. You may be unaware at 100mph + of a danger around a corner or on the hard shoulder. I have attended many RTA's where this has been the case. And in honesty most were fatal. You can be a confident driver, but there are others who arnt. The roads appear to be clear and vacant but a good point was made that a officer was on the roads as well. Despite him being unmarked or marked. He could have started to fall asleep, glided into your lane and caused a fatal accident. And you would be the main person to blame. We all have fast cars, we all have gone over the speed limmit but just to finish speed does kill. that is a fact.

I know what you mean Angus. I am getting paid to do nothing at the moment. and infact I have begged to do something.. ie anything.. ok i have a back related problem so were in differant circumstances.. but get a pt job.. if work picks up great.. keep your current job and be lucky.

chunk.. thats how i taugh my wife how to drive.. a big empty 11pm at night morrisons car park... and luckly i am still alive.. lol anyway she does love it.. thankfully she hates the fuel consumtion.. so i may be safe.. but its just scary when i am at home on my back... and shes driving my baby.. putting chocolate in the middle console... i just hate to think what state its gonna be in .... not to mention the woman hair all over the seats... and guys you do know what i mean.. they shed worse than a dog!

Hunniepie, sorry for my thread (below now) its just I know my wife.. and as i said in it.. not all woman drivers are bad... to be honest the worst drivers are young teenager boys.... who have a corsa.. or a nova... lol! anyway credit due.... my wife hasnt crashed yet.. but she still has to get home from work today.. hopefully her car will be ready tommorow for pickup and mine can sit again....left alone!!!

WOW I am gonna have to get in on this action as well. hmmmm it doenst say you cant have models posing around your car.. lol! might get a few (girl friends) to pose in a nice (clean) manor around my car!!!! will distract everyone from all the cat prints.. lol!!!

I also recommend get security cams.. ensure you have tilt sensor alarms. and gates at the end of your drive if possible.. I have had a few people approach me at petrol stations asking if Id sell it to them but never at my house..... I would flip out if they did that.... but you have to be security aware....

Id make the manifolds fit... forget your front arches.. have them bulk out with side mount exhausts... like on a cobra.... with all that power.. who the F.... cares... I would just love it.. but hate the fuel bill.... oh yeah.. image that with a supercharged/turbo'd engine. running with nos.... now your thinking!!!!

I would personally invest in taking it to somewhere like ztech zed world. any one that specialises in these cars.. pay them there 50£ or what ever to inspect the car and determine its true fault.. then go from there.... you have ALOT to loose.. and so much to gain.......

see above 100% right.. get the thing chipped asap... then induction kit, headers, exhaust, flywheel pullys etc.. and watch those figures rise... but if you want true bhp... go TT ( note i have a na ) but after the above mods are done... your looking at some very serious cash to bring past 300-400bhp+ but not saying its not worth it... I am already in negotiations getting mine done.. oh yeah and a cheap mod NOS!!!! all the way!!!!!

pmsl. funny you should say that.... she parked in tescos last night.. i was in the car with her and she stalled it just as she was approaching a car parked in front.. i near Sh$$ myself.... Anyway I told her she is allowed to damnage the front end... front wings.. but not the rear quarters.. as I will be putting a body kit on it anyway.. lol

Right before you read this nonsense I am writing.. remember this... MY WIFE IS A HORRIBLE DRIVER!!!! That brings us nicely to this... she complained on tues night that her car (ford escort 98S reg) had a vacume type sound comming from the car. I was puzzled and she was obviously concerned (so she should have been) she booked a appt with the garage to have it looked at but it isnt till sat. Anyway since I have been off and will be off of work for a while I agreed to let her use my car but had to teach her how to drive it. ( no sexist jokes here) last time I tried to teach her she couldnt even get it out of our drive.. she kept stalling it... at least (no kidding) 10 times. to the point where it flooded the engine. Moving on.. she did well when I took her out.. but now she has my car for the week.. :cry: I am worried because she 1- loves it now.. after over a year of saying how much she hated it... 2- because she already crashed 2 of my loved cars before... i had a lamborghini countach 25th anniversary replica made by IFG in the usa. And she crashed my volvo.. ok that one wasnt that loved...... So I am praying now.. and hoping that nothing happens... please join me in this moment of praying... please.............................................. :rolleyes:
