I've been trying to get a vibration problem sorted out. Still not fixed. :cry: I'll watch out for you Wed/Thurs next week. I take it you will be wearing a comedy red nose and doing some juggling as you wait in the traffic jam :rofl:

Not sure it is me you see. I'm usually somewhere between Newbridge and Kirkcaldy between 7am and 8am. Zed just back on the road today after a 3 month visit to the garage. I'll keep an eye out for you next week.

Prop shaft away being inspected by engineering specialist near Birmingham. Fingures crossed it's repairable, otherwise they promised to get a new one from Japan - I bet it comes by boat, 10+ weeks :cry: Really missing it now that the weather is better. Wheels have been swapped front to back and side to side just to experiment - no change. It was the Bonnybridge co. that attempted the first re-balance, so am looking for another. Getting tempted to buy Big Marty's car and just use it as a donor. :rofl:

So far...... 1. Wheels balanced - no change 2. New Prop Bearing - no change 3. New drive shafts - no change 4. Gear box and rear diff mounts checked - appear OK 5. Tried a second hand prop shaft - got a vibration. 6. Original prop shaft "balanced" - made it worse. 7. Swapped prop shafts with another Zed - My Zed OK, Other Zed got vibration now. 8. Swapped back - My Zed got vibration, other Zed OK So conclusion is that the first re-balance hasn't worked and the second hand one is also knackered. :headvswal Options 1. Attempt another rebalance on the original 2. Find a third prop shaft. All this being done by a garage who should know what they are doing. It has take almost 3 months to get to this point and is becoming farcical. Any advice would be most welcome

Hi, can anyone recommend a company to re-balance a LWB prop shaft. The nearer to central Scotland the better. Cheers

I have vitrually the same symptoms. And it was proving hard to find. Eventually had to wait until another club member had their car in at the same garage. Prop shafts were swapped and the the vibrartion move from one car to the other. So my prop shaft is away being re-balanced and reconditioned this week. Should have it back in a week or so. Perhaps you could find another friendly zed owner in your area and start swapping parts - start with centre bearing and prop shaft.

Looks like Falkirk Cruise on 1st March is a popular choice. Although I'd like to know when Falkirk became part of West Lothian :rofl: Shall we meet somewhere first so that we can turn up in convoy ? Can the Falkirk locals suggest a good meet point ?
