Glencoe Run
Now, as much as I would enjoy spending 6 hours in the pissing rain with no views, while following caravans up a dirt track and trying to stop the zed from sliding off the road................... I agree with Robert about planning and I will still attend. However, I would also be happy to postpone the run if everyone else is happy to do so.

All jap imports have 4 wheel drive. I just put on some off-road tyres and pointed the car up. Yes, well spotted. I'm about half way through them. The Mrs has done them all and is well on her way to finishing her second round - puts me to shame.

Was up the hill today. Took this photo so you could see where we are going. Sun lasted another 5 minutes then it was horizontal hail. Scottish weather. Nice.

IT career advice
I could go on all day, but as someone who interviews and recruites IT staff into my department, by far the best new-start candidates are those who have some formal qualification from a course that offered a work placement during the final stages. The education/training coupled with the work experience makes them very employable. IT industry is a very wide field so think about where you want to end up and aim for it - Networking, Comms, DBA, System Administrator, Developer, Consultant, .......... ??? And think about what type of employer you prefer - public sector, private sector, academia, R&D, Banking ....... they all have a different approach to IT
