  1. haha, look at you guys trying swing the votes any which way you can! :)
  2. so are you at standard boost at the moment or did u remove the standard boost control solenoids and run it at 7psi without your controller on? if the latter thats an impressive RWHP figure without an exhaust on!
  3. chin up mate, im having serious issues with my z at the moment too, everything that can go wrong does go wrong! in the past month ive had to replace turbos, do head gaskets thanks to stuck thermostat, then find out heads had cracked, get new heads, do hg gaskets again, now im still getting bubbles in the water from it, my rad popped yesterday because of pressure build up.
  4. always black, with black wheels, tints and smoked out lights :D stealth all the way :)
  5. ...hi folks, quick question...a while ago my turbos popped big (and hg might i add), now its all fixed, runs ok, boost fine. after a few hardish boosts i start to get some blue smoke out the back, once this happens it does it on idle for a few mins and constantly when boosting, it is however getting less. if I leave the car for 5-10 mins, come back, start up, no smoke at all until i go for a drive...if i potter around, dont get any, soon as i boost i start getting smoke it mainly seems to come from driver side, but both turbos went big style and im assuming some oil went into the exhausts. could this blue smoke just be this oil burning off?
  6. vanishing point is a great road flick too!
  7. lol the best is the geriatrics put out in the middle of the road in wheel chairs! thats just absurd!
  8. ahh ok makes sense, should have thought of that :) just alarmed me a bit when i saw it all gunked up
  9. so its just all been blown out due to high crankcase breathers? im guessing these have then been highly pressurised somehow thanks to the HG failing?
  10. maybe, but how would it get in the inlet side of things in the first place :( theres loads on the driver side, i would say around a litre in total!
  11. So my head gasket went, no biggy as I know enough about these engines to do it almost blind folded. That said, some things kinda baffling me that I havent seen before. Got the usual, mayo oil, and same with the water, but....my soft intake pipes that come from the filter have mayo in them, on the driverside, the steel turbo inlet pipe is FULL and i mean FULL of water/oil mixture!, as is the driver side plenum and the pipes that go from turbo/cooler/throttlebody, also in the plenum about an inch deep in water/oil mixture! the passenger side isnt as bad tho, just a mayo film in the pipes and nothing on that side of the plenum...so im wondering what on earth caused that? :headvswal
  12. make your own, like i did. I got some stainless pipe, bends, 2 cans with 6inch tips, flanges for mating it all up to the stainless downpipes I already had, clamp it all in position, weld it (first time ive welded stainless but take your time and its not so bad)...looks great, sounds awesome and cost me about £150 excluding the cost of the downpipes originally.
  13. just antilag it with a big bottle of nitrous in the back :)
  14. lol bascially for a quad setup u need to be able to divide the number of cylinders by 4 and end up with a whole number :) so its possible on a v8 and a v12 :) not a sixer.
  15. why not just upgrade the 2 you have? a quad turbo wont work for 2 major reasons 1. 2 turbos on each back, 3 cylinders....1.5 cylinders feeding each turbo  2. space :headvswal
  16. oh and theres only a tink of blue, mainly white.
  17. nah dont think its is fuel, doesnt smell particularly fuelly, and it was running just fine..i know you get some condensation, but this is just too much for that, its quite think and seems to hang around and not float away as steam would/should. I'll try the fuel thing tho, theres a adjustable regulator on there, so perhaps its upset itself :S
  18. Hi my zed has nicely started blowing white/blue smoke out of both the exhausts, which is worrying to say the least. now ive heard all the horror stories about head gaskets and stuff, but i dont think this is water or condensation, no sludge in the oil, or pressure in the system anywhere and also dont think im loosing any water. one thing i have noticed is that it does it immediatley after starting within a few seconds, so i have an idea to find out if its hg for sure or not. if i drain all the water system, and from cold, then start her up and it doesnt smoke, that would point to head gasket? if it continues to smoke, that would point to something like turbos?
