My boss is even for a Z31, but steve-o's engineering worked a treat at modifying it to fit the sensor and plate and cruise wire plug ;)

If its without Hicas you can use a Z31 boss, loads of places sell them for about 25

(i meant oxygen being a fuel for the fire maybe wrong use of words) Anyway gotta say another funny thing, went to a nitrous open day at a company me mate owns fitting kits etc, a guy with an R32 turned up. He was instantly saying his car was the fastest there. He came over as he was looking at cars and looked at my unusual zorsts and said 'how much bhp they give you' :rolleyes: I said to him nothing, its the other mods that do it, this just helps those mods along. Then he said 'well thats crap, a mate of mine is getting me a Motec system exhaust which will increase my car by 100bhp' :rofl: And that is no shit I really couldnt beleive it!!!! Then I asked him what boost pressure he was runnig and he didnt know, apparantly the r32 was his first turbo car, his last was a vectra :O F&F you do it again!

p.s try and get someone close to you whos got a Z and swap the sensor, then give it a try! Have you got a splash guard under your induction? if not water will be comming up from road and all ways onto it, thats a sure way of killing it. Also your filter being HKS and foam, they can soak up a shed load of water either way which isnt good at times. Take the pannel off and check for signs of water etc (dont know what the weathers like your end but weve had a fook load of storms down here seriously heavy rain!!!) Anyways, back to the thread sorry for that hijack! (although i didnt start it lol ;))

Could be temp sensor, TPS, or AFM. Usualy AFM if its on its way out will play up after your cars been left over night / for a few hours and the car is cold. Moisture etc gets in it and then your car will start to hesitate slightly on pull of every now and then. After a while and more moisture on it it will die, then you'll be stuck at under 3k rpm all the time and it will sound like a tractor. Thats my bet.

Yup, youd be suprised the amount of ppl have said to me that isnt it dangerous carying a flamable substance after seeing the exploding thing probably on F&F. Then you have to explain it just helps to feed the fire :D like the one in my engine lol Guess an explosion or heat could rupture the tank in a crash and hence lots of fuel for the fire lol, pressurised too = big bang :O Wouldnt like to ever see that happen.

AFAIK only the Z31 has a fuel cut? FCD's dont work on the Z32. If a car has got a fuel cut, its like hitting a rev limiter in an old escort or something, really throws you forward and the engine will sounds nasty (loud banging or craking noise :S) Not to sure about the cut out thing :confused: does it only happen when cold / on safety boost?

Bit OT ill be contacting you about them controllers matey when my redundancy cash comes through the door ;)

p.s I forgot, a chip is essential if your going on to mod and up the boost, cause the stock ECU doesnt have fuel maps for increased boost! Most will also up the rev limit and just make the car run better as a whole (if its a goodun) So you will need to invest in this for the whole zorst, filter, boost route if you take it!

That guide is a good start, this question keeps coming up? perhaps we can all post up and decide on the best basic mods set up to get your motor going? then FAQ that too? IMHO Up the boost to around 12 to be safe around 15 if you are prepared for the possibility of the consequences Then get a good zorst, I would say decat although other say it doesnt help hold your seals (less back pressure) Then get a good air filter, I have a Blitz, they are the best flowing, but appaling at letting dirt and rubbish through in comparison to others, you cant go much wrong with a wire one, foam is good filtration but slightly less flow and needs replacing. With the car breathing better and the upped boost you will notice it will seem like it is flying compared to stock. Theres other things, like brembo upgrade on the brakes, and box upgrade if its an auto etc, these are not essential mods IMHO to get your car going. But are a worth while investment later on. Im using boost jets to upgrade my boost although am looking at getting a boost controller of chris v soon. I have to say, I have had no problems with spiking etc and the boost hold well with the welding tips in place. These are obviously my opinions so other ppl may differ, but I would say the above little lot is a cheap and easy was of getting your car on the move a bit more. Good luck and happy Zedding!!!!

p.s also make sure you check its not in safety boost (at operating temp), although they boost less and seem slow as fook to us boost heads :D, :D :dance: would be hard to tell if you've never driven one before, thats happened when I've gone to see a few with ppl too.

goo guide there, also one on TT net with some other bits on print em both off I would, and take someone with you who knows about em. There tends to be a fair few ppl around trying to fob lemons off to ppl who dont know about them. Friend of mine had this prob recently! (none of these ppl are from the club tho cause were all sound ;)) Went to see a few with him, they were all smoking like dogs and he was told that was perfectly normal :rolleyes: also on one the turbos were whining for sheer mercy, probably oil starved for the past year and sounded completly ****ed, bearingd gone etc I would imagine also, guess what he said? They all make that noise LMFAO

Cool, not a bad prog matey, it will suite all your image resizing / cropping needs, I used it to blow up a 1600x1200 to well over 4000 for a good quality a1 poster size. Does the trick better than any photoshop plugin ;)
