Black auto, colchester
think i might of seen u actually taff (unless theres another yellow z in colly!) in the high street a while back. no one ever seen my red s13? its got all shitty boy racer shoppings list down the door and a nismo sunstrip? dumps like a bus and u can hear the big ends rattle from down the road!

spoiler help
i know i know i should search myself but can anyone save me the time and tell me where i can get hold of a wings west spoiler? the high rise one with the two bits in the centre (what a great description!) j

Whats up with my 300z
i used to get about 145 in my s13, with a few light mods, although things got a little shaky and scary! id say its bound to be quicker. i think until youve owned a turbo u cant appreciate just how much of a difference it makes. for example look at the renualt 5 GT turbo (god i miss her! :( ) thats only a 1.4 but itd still give plenty of much bigger non turbo cars an absolute whooping! so an s13 (which is lighter and i might be wrong but probably has a much higher bhp to weight/engine size ratio) is bound to be as quick as a 3 litre N/A or faster. oh and obviously those speeds were on a track!

well, im currently in iraq but based in colchester and im just in the process of paying for a 1990 manual TT running about 400 horseys. were not back till end of march but ill be around colly after then, have to sort a meet out. feckin love the drive to clacton, lots of empty roundabouts, used to go through a whole set of tyres in the s13!

yeah, thats the one, with exhausts that look like u could live in them! i see u all the time in colly, last i remember was by that wheel shop near mersea rd. i was in a red s13 with a big nismo sunstrip, probably making far too much noise!

thinking of getting rid. . . .
just to add to what everyones already said, rx7's definetly always need a rebuild by 60k, no matter how well u treat them. i was in the same situation as u i.e i had jsut under 5k to spend, and i have to say ive been in a few GTO's and have to say there certainly not slow and they do stick to the road, and although u cant get a convertible they have a large glass panel type sunroof that comes off u can stick in the boot so its not far off. theres a few decent skylines around for 5k, but youll have to hunt, and 90% will be R33 GTS which are not to be sniffed at however id have to go with the advice of maybe a 200sx, that kinda money will net u a good 'un or maybe a pulsar? not to everyones taste but 5k would get u some serious (although very ugly!) power. each to his own though

Warning: Newbie Q's
christ if your worrying about back end out dont get an 200sx! my s13 would hang its arse out in the dry! but then again i loved it! its scary stuff but it can only make u a better driver

Opinions on these mods
if only eh? i make lists like that all the time, think the best thing u could do is write it out in stages, order of priority, thats what i do as even if u had the money it aint all gonna get done at once. Personaly id always go for perfomance first then bodywork but each to his own. speaking of bodykits sorry i have to agree the veilside kit is nasty, u checked out the red monza kits? fecking lush! thats what im having when funds permit. good luck though mate, prove us all wrong! j

power estimate
heres a few questions: stage 3 turbo dynamics turbos, K+N induction, chipped, GReddy intercoolers, APS racing clutch and lightened flywheel, full hard pipe kit, full scorpion xhaust GReddy profec boost control running 1.0bar of boost, what sort of power u guys reckon? and how many psi is 1.0bar of boost? do u reckon it could safely run higher boost on standard (recently rebuilt) engine? what u think the next step should be mod wise?

this may be a bone question but i want to get a dump valve that flutters like **** as opposed to just one big woosh! (if that makes sense) anyone know what the absolute best one for that is? not to everyones taste but hey! someone told me you need a re-circulating dump valve, any truth in this? thanks j

I've come to my senses
half the fun of running jap cars, is learning how to look after them, and yes that costs money, but do enough research especially on this site and you wont learn the hard way. just read up as much as u can and buy a winner! not something thats just running stock parts with the turbos turned up to blowing point. and personaly, if i couldnt afford a TT, rather than get a NA id have to get another s13, as for that price u could get a great one. (sorry ill stop going on about how much i love s13s!) good luck dude
-
calibra turbo or rover 220 turbo tomcat
u could get a awesome s13 for that price and itd piss all over both. plus calibra turbo gear boxes if im right are 6 speed, different to N/A calibras so **** that up and your be paying a lot of money. and s13s are the best drift car in the world, but hey each to there own i guess!
