hi all, after listening to luke and buying the blanking kit for the egr,can someone explain what u get by removing it? or is it just another way to clear some pipework from the engine bay? ive read what it actually does but still dont understand wwhat i will gain by removing it??????? surely nissan didnt just over engineer the 300zx there must of been a good reason to put this part on the car?jay

ive been watching ebay for a while:) im in no mad rush so i'll get some calipers when they become available,id prefer a big brake setup but as usual its down to pound notes.

it took some monster complaints to everyone i could think of,my usb ports snapped bfr 11 months and when i took it in pc world staff said no chance its gonna cost£150 as they reckoned that sony wouldnt repait it as manufacturer fault.i left it at the time until at 16 month old i put a mouse in the last usb port and it popped the motherboard....i was going off it with my complaints to anyone that i could send emails to . in the end pc world picked it up and as it wasnt in the best of shape as it had taken a few knocks...........lol even my car crash last year,but i didnt tell them that. anyway long story short they offered to replace usb board and motherboard for £81.....i snatched their arm off lol well fook it they pissed me off with its gonna cost you £150 for the usb ports, so when the motherboard went i kicked off big style.im glad i went balistik with customer support they are cheeky ****s as i could of just scrapped it and ended up buying a new 1... ill give a thumbs up for once for pcworld,but if they had sorted the hubs in the beginning they would of saved themselves a motherboard and i would of been up the creak without a paddle.....out of warranty.

i think the reason the 300zx even tho smaller(scene) is still about, is 100% down to guys like jeff and luke. thanks god(or should that be thank the zed god lol)

how much u pay for the 350z setup?

i already have the uprated discs(black diamond i think),not sure tbh and same for pads.still remember the brakes being shit tho even with uprated discs on stock calipers.lol my pain in the but is in the last 3 house moves id took the calipers off the front and i think i lost em,i was gonna recon them myself ..done it bfr but now if i have lost them do i waste money on getting a 2nd hand set and reconing them or pay the extra for brembos or go big brake kits????? dilema dilema lol shame last year i let slip a set of brembos off john dixon grrr.i had a car crash after having a blowout on the motorway,so getting online was last thing on my mind while sitting in hospital,then money went on buying another car quick . that crash was a right bad timing thing as it was then that i bought tubs,a new interior and lots of other bits and bobs to get my zed back ,its took a year to get sorted to start sorting the zed again lol this year i have a wedding to pay for(my lass has demanded it )and my zed to get running. can u believe im excited lol.im glad joanne doesnt read this forum hehe

THANKS FOR ADVICE:) ill probably try something small with the guys on the forum(wicked coatings) and see what it looks like.what is it just that stick on kits,like i used to sell for the interior stereo panel?

agreed jeff some lads would be up shit creak if it was'nt for the experience of guys like yourself,smithy,luke and i could name a dozen others . the 300zx is a nightmare to get the smallest problem diagnosed which is why 99% of local garages **** cars up or even wont touch them. in the past 20 years if it wasnt for the advice from guys like yourself i wouldnt still have my zed,without a doubt it would of been scrapped .saying that ive made mistakes taking my car to local garages who thought they knew what they were doing,i must of wasted at least 10 k on having work repaired after leaving my car with shit mechanics rather than bringing the car to people like yourself.well u live and learn lol i think the biggest problem for most zed owners is getting our cars to you!! you dont fancy moving up north to middlesbrough do u lol

after kicking off big time with pc world they finally got my laptop repaired,they still charged me 81 quid but better than buying a new one. its only a 500 quid sont vaio,but i must spend 6 hours a day on it. my bloody pc stack was a pain.nowt like sitting in bed with me laptop lol

Id like advice from forum members Which brake kit is the best value for money? I'm expecting to be running just short of 400bhp at the wheels when I get it finished so I need advice . What is the most adequate brake setup for this power level? I've looked into recon my calipers and upgrade disks and pads Looked at brembos from the skyline Looked at the expensive big brake kits most the uk traders are selling What would on your experience be the most suitable setup I'm looking for the most cost effective, but if I'd be best with the more expensive setup then I'll find the extra cash So guys what do you think blow a shitload or don't bother and just get the best out of the stock setup Cheers jay

That's why I stopped selling carbon. I was supplying to certain companies in the states until they copied my design .to say I was a tad upset by them is a understatement . I also helped a lot of the traders with cheap gear and they never once done me a cheap deal Tight arses lol I can't believe smithy sold his zed either Jay

why ? smithy was a good guy with good parts,danny i didnt really get to no but seemed to get the market cornered on ss parts

im wanting a flip or rage paint job,not sure of flip colour but base diamond black with a flip,probably an orange fleck. hopefully i can get someone like pps peter from sunderland/peterlee,anyone have his number he may be able to recomend someone as last time a seen him he was just selling parts from a shop in sunderland and had packed the spraying work in. thanks jay

hmm not worth it when i can get parts made for just a little more.was thinking of interior parts and wheels.well looks like search for me black alloy wheels again,just a shame my chrome alloys didnt blister coz of 8 years stuck in and out me garage,anyone no where i can get a good price to rechrome the 4 wheels

as i used to sell here carbon parts for the zed (neperformance ltd)ive been looking at this carbon wrapping. anyone bought this stuff? just wondered if its better or not than the real carbon parts i used to sell.cheers jay

i used to run 16psi boost on stock tubs remapped ecu upgraded intake zorst upgraded intercoolers. mind it wasnt for long and all the time,most of time just 14psi boost after looking at that pic i might think twice now :) them boost controlers are so bloody tempting tho,you are always tempted to to just wind it up grrr

tall trees bud,you'll see me flying about by august if all goes well,just engine to go back in, respray in around a month then new interior fitted.im hoping to get it on the road by the end of the month. mind you its been off the road that long there is probably a setback on the cards knowing my luck.jay lol the car has been in hiding about 8 years
