Rear number plate light brackets UK Spec
Thanks for the updates guys, sorry for the slightly late reply. Might give your idea a go with the JDM light bracket, I dont mind a bit of customisation if it fits the same that the end of the day. Much appreciated for the help.

Rear number plate light brackets UK Spec
Thanks for the reply mate and for the part number, will have a snoop around to see if anyone has it but if not I'll make a custom bracket to replace the one on the car. Cheers Andy

Rear number plate light brackets UK Spec
Noticed today that one of my number plate lights is dangling down a bit, upon closer inspection the bracket that should hold it in place has all bit disintegrated on the left hand side and I cant imagine the right side isn't fairing much better. Does anyone know the part number for these for a UL Spec rear bumper? I've tried searching multiple sites including JP-carparts but they only list the Jap spec or US spec parts. Cheers Andy

Exhaust question
Nice! Thanks mate Had a look through the guide and it turns out the AIV solenoid has been removed previously although when I got behind the inner arches the hardware is still sitting around waiting to be taken out which i'll get round to in due course. Thanks for the help everyone, you're a good bunch.

Exhaust question
Thanks for the reply Funkysi About the AIV inlets: does that need any certain kit to delete? I wasn't going to go with Powerflow either bud, just saying in my post that they have a very shoddy reputation of going guff builds thrown together with duct tape and chewing gum. The company I was going to use is LongLife Exhausts, I'm also a member of the Vecta-c.com owners club for my daily driver and a few of the guys on there have had some really good systems built by them. Thanks for the information on what those pipes actually are, been scratching my head about them but now I can research how to delete them.

Exhaust question
Thanks for the reply Will be a custom made so will be getting the company to include them into the design on the exhaust.

Exhaust question
So I've taken the Zed of the road again because it seems the OEM exhaust has aged like milk and now it's crumbling, falling to bits when touched and pretty much leaking all over the place pre-catback. Luckily I have a Longlife exhaust firm in my town (also have Powerflow but I don't fancy having the exhaust thrown together by some ned with daddy issues) which I'm going to see about a 3" straight through system from the turbo's back but my question is about certain hoses/pipes that seem to feed into the OEM exhaust front pipes at the sides.... what are they? I've searched high and low to find out what they are to the point where Google probably thinks I have an exhaust fetish but no luck! If someone can shed some light on these pipes it would be great and any other advice on installing a turbo back system would also be appreciated. Cheers Andy

What did you do to your zed today?
Had a play around with the lights, turned the dummy side pods into DRLs, fitted some front foot well LED strips under the dash and 'upgraded' the dash side consoles to LED's (not the best pic of the interior) Up next is fitting a new sump that i'm painting in the garage as mines has been leaking in two places next to that small rectangular welded section on the side, it's not too bad but still better changed! Also going to upgrade the bulbs behind the clocks at some point because now they look all dim in comparison. and yeah I've got a legal number plate in the boot of the car haha Edit: Spelling and images

Newish member meet and greet
Thanks Stuart, have been keeping my eye on the selling pages at the prices they are going for which seems quite reasonable for now, just hope that when I get the money together I can find one that's in reasonably good shape and dare I say it with decent miles! Will keep logging in to see what's what with the club and the ZX scene plus planning on getting myself subscribed as soon as I have finished writing this reply. Cheers as well Richard, I don't think I really had a lot of activity on my old account though more just annoyed at myself just now as there's always that one account you forget to switch to your new email before your old one closes down!

Newish member meet and greet
Thanks Bones. Yeah would have thought the number of cars still on the road would be slowly going down, not so good to hear about the membership decline though. I'm guessing the import scene is in the same situation as well? Well she is a nice looking car to begin with, mind you I've always been one for making my car an individual on the road not that that's a hard thing nowadays with a 300ZX I can't even remember the last time I seen one on the road in my area or on my travels....

Thanks for the welcome, should have my membership up and running soon. What's the ZX scene like these days? She's getting to be quite a rare car.

Newish member meet and greet
Hey everyone thought I'd pop in a little message to say hi and hope that everyone is ok and doing well. I say newish in the title as I had an account on here back in 07ish with an old email that I no longer have access too, at that time I had a 92 J plate fairlady 2+2 targa, was a NA auto so like anyone would do I hopped online to get advice on the car and found you guys! I will be in the market for another 300zx in the future though will be looking for a later model twin turbo manual (wondering if Gaz can pm me with rough import prices? Just to get my bearings on how much I'm looking at nowadays). Anyway really looking forward to chatting with you all and hopefully in the future coming to some meets with a nice set of wheels, even see if the wife and kids will let me drag them along haha. Andy
